Clean audio for Endymion has been obtained (somehow).

It's so refreshing to hear it without announcers or cheering. The next step (which is possible, since people have already done it) is finding a perfectly clean audio rip from the game.

This is great, though.

It's a pleasure to my ears listen Endymion without that annoying DDR X announcer and the crowd cheering. Even it's not the original audio ripped from the game this is a perfect reconstruction, amazing.

The loudest string instrument from the beginning of 0:19 to the end of 0:24 seems to sound significantly different between this audio and machine lineouts. Is it just me?

Edit: The video description says it was made by concatenating multiple lineouts. But I thought Konami specifically made this impossible by adding in stuff like audience cheers during predetermined times. What happened to those? Just curious.

I believe depending on how well a player does (like keeping combos, missing, losing a life), it'll affect the presence of the announcer or crowd. Since FEFEMZ's plays of ENDYMION weren't always consistent, Damox was able to piece all of audio clips and create a solid lineout. Props to him.

Props to AKA1998, I initially did some rudimentary splicing and got ~30 seconds of clear audio, however I never completed it thanks to college.

That what you said xRGTMx is true, I indeed did what you said on the top.

Proof
If you take a listen at this FEFEMZ stream lineout at around 10:25, a predetermined crowd cheer never occured due to the announcer calling out an unusually delayed line.


Now take a listen at 21:45 in this other FEFEMZ stream, the same part of the song that was attempted but with a predetermined crowd cheer due to the announcer calling out a line much earlier before it happened.


With this, I was able to take the advantage of finding and splicing all of the clean audio without the announcer and the predetermined crowd cheer.

I just have to commend Damox for piecing together the ENDYMION playthroughs from FEFEMZ attempts and creating a lineout of the song without interruptions/announcers/audience noise.

The awkward violins coming in at 0:18 and the fact that konami covered it up with a crowd cheer makes me think we might get an extended version of Endymion on the official soundtrack

^ I wouldn't say that's evidence of anything. I'd go as far as saying just about every DDR original has subtleties that can't be heard over the announcer sound effects, and Konami almost certainly hasn't intentionally picked and chosen specific spots in the track to cover up (it just corresponds to a BPM change).

For another example, listen to the beginning of the piano flourish in Ace For Aces at 3:03 of this video (112 combo). It's not audible in the simfile.

Oh wow. Endymion doesn't sound that bad after all.
Can't wait to hear a cleaner audio of it.

This is roughly 90%. I rarely go past 700 Calories on a DDR Trip so this is what I usually remember.

They don't seem that awkward to me, and in fact the opposite in that they lead into the part that comes right then.
It'd be cool if there was a longer version though.
