Still gonna play, but when I went today I noticed that the Player 2 Card Reader didn't read my card. I don't know if it was a temporary glitch, but we'll see.
I had this happen once where I play, I was told it could be fixed with a machine restart. Haven't seen an issue since.

I'll definitely tell someone if i go back and it's not fixed, but I think I want to give them some time to fix it. I'm not the only guy playing there and there are way more hardcore players than me that likely already told them. If it's still fux'd when I go back, I can say something. I think what Thunder said above means that it might be an easy fix (if it's not fixed by the time I come back).
Wobbly pad? Not sure. But today is half-price night and DDR is PACKED, so I will be interested in asking the local bros who play what their thoughts are / if anyone said anything.
I just have read about people on Reddit private messaging that D&B Vice President guy... like really intensely/obsessively/for every little thing that goes wrong with the pads. I just dont wanna be that bro unless i know for sure no one's said anything about it.

Just played A for the first time yesterday at Milpitas Dave & Busters here in Cali. Is there any reason why the game takes so damn long to load past the e-AMUSEMENT screen when I select no card? I swear I waited ~2 minutes for it to clear the screen... Is this a universal issue or a local issue affecting this machine? If this was addressed elsewhere on here, sorry. Didn't feel like digging through the thread.

This is a local issue. There should be no delay between screens if you're hitting the green button every time a new screen pops up. There should be a 5-10 second wait if you are using an e-amuse card, but certainly not 2 minutes.

Tried mentioning it to the tech, but he was trying to convince me it was a universal issue. The game starts up eventually, but people are forced to (and will) stand around and wait for a while. I think Round One in SJ has A. Will have to check back there soon, and stop going to D&B altogether.
Other than that glitch, this mix has a robust song selection. Glad DDR isn't dead after all.

I've only cleared half the game's songs so far. Never had a DDR machine close-by (that was actually a high quality cab), so a game I've played for over a decade... like 80% of the songs I haven't played at all.
Been going through each set and I just am blown away by how songs will just keep throwing different challenges/step patterns at you, even if you don't like the songs. The song selection in this game is the best song selection I've ever experienced in any rhythm game. None of it is DLC / costs $$$ to buy and there is unlock-able stuff. Additionally even if you don't like the songs, the and steps throughout the mixes make all 700+ songs worth playing.
I feel so awkward playing some of those songs though! Oh my god, Gorgeous 2012! Haha. I just played this one song to 'cool down' from some harder songs, and it was the next one in DDR X for me, and the crowd that had formed literally dispersed by the time it was over.... I think it was WOLLI - LIFT YOU UP

If there's any sort of crowd forming I try to either play something catchy with no vocals, or if there are vocals than basically anything without a half-naked girl on the jacket.
I played Dazzlin Darlin' earlier today forgetting about the music video. Oops. I'm slowly trying to get through each mix so I've had to play some real winners. After the Game of Love (3rd), baby baby give me your love, and even Silent Hill just based on how bad it is are all songs I'd recommend avoiding.

Remember that you don't buy DDR A - you pay everytime you want to play it.

Considering how much a cabinet costs and that there is literally no home market right now, I'm more than happy to pay per-session for my favorite game. Maybe in the long-run it's more expensive, but I actually find I'm the one who makes my D&B / R1 cards last the longest, since I'm only spending it on DDR. 4 rounds is about 10 minutes give or take a minute or two. that means a 20 dollar card (with a coupon to get 20 dollars free) will last 1-3 months, for me at least [until there's a closer machine]. it's a pretty good deal even when there -were- home versions available and a surplus of cabinets.

Actually, I thought this song and Juuniseiza no seiiki sounded very U1 from the first time I heard them. Zodiac threw everyone on wac's trace and Musical Cosmology didn't really give any hint though. I guess Cosmology and his usual Orbitallic genres are space-themed though.

Played it. Really terrible at it. It's cool but it's not my thing. I understand it's like the basis for everything I love now (DDR) in terms of the music and even as a rhythm gaming establishment, but yeah.
