I'm friends with him, and I didn't see any mention of a stream that happened. ^^; here's hoping someone recorded it and is gonna put it up on Youtube.

i didn't even have enough time to get a recording of it. I just managed to catch the last 30 seconds or so of the video before it was finished. I'm sure it'll be posted as a saved video here soon or in a few minutes. It was just a random live playtest of the pad with no video of any live shots of the screen or at least in the last few seconds that I saw.

I wasn't sure if maybe you did something that he may have told you not to do or if it ended up being something filed in the "young and dumb" category. If/when the video pops up I or someone will post it I'm sure.

How will the noteskin for the game look like? Will it look like the arrows on the pads?

and while the results of these internal discussions have been kept secret to pretty much everyone, it was common knowledge in the 4-panel community that Kyle was meeting with them anyway, he's been talking about it since last April.

I guess you should have censored your name? I didn't even realize that was your account haha. I still find it weird that that would be a reason he would ban you unless it's because it's on that site that won't be named.

I was just spreading the word. I don't make fun of him; he gets to live one of my dreams.

I'm guessing the image of Kyle being at Konami was either hidden or he removed it; either way, I never saw that either.

If he's actually making the new game with them, I find it a bit ironic, considering that most people would hold a grudge against a company that sued your IP and subsequently won/took the rights away from you. ^^;

The only explanation I can think of would be that Konami probably wanted a way to renew the ITG copyright (unless this is gonna be under a new name) and maybe they invited Kyle to their offices to discuss a deal to publish the new game and have it be a Step Revolution/Bemani collaboration? The only reason why I would see him doing this would be Konami could easily publish the game for the Asian market while StepRevo would self-publish in the North American/(maybe) European market.

It could also explain why we aren't seeing any new songs from the ITG artists on any of the new PIU games, but I could be wrong with that.


Then again, I'm sure the pic was just a joke that rubbed Kyle the wrong way, but if this were true...

So, from looking at the minute of footage I was able to catch, the corner "arrows" act as a light show; I didn't see him step on any of them, but I'm going to guess that it's going to be a seperate mode if you really can step on them.

Watch this and pay attention to the pads 6 seconds in.

5 panel is like Pump without the diagonal arrows. 3 panel is just left, center, right.

9 panel is technomotion with the center panel.

I get the feeling he was indirectly thinking of us with these past few posts/speculation coming from us as of late.. ;)

Yet another livestream going on as I'm writing this: One really cool thing I've noticed is that on the dance pad, the light show that goes on in the corner "arrows" have unique patterns for every song. Still can't see the gameplay itself, unfortunately, but I hear some songs from ITG3 (Hyper Hyper and Frozen Fire among others) Kyle has been playing. Also, I can vaguely see a corner of the screen, but it looks like the interface might be cover-flow inspired, but don't take my word for it.

UPDATE 6/12/16

Kyle just finished a brief late-night stream right when I was going to bed. Nothing unusual, except for the very end where he was stepping on the corner arrows and doing a freestyle routine; maybe the reason why he hasn't stepped on them in the other streams has been because they are only available in some kind of freestyle difficulty a la PIU? Not long afterwards, the lights on the pad stopped working, and the stream abruptly ended.

Important to note is that in the background behind him was the dance pad you've probably seen in the youtube video on the first post, but now with bars, as well as an ITG dance pad where one the P1 side had the arrows/metal brackets replaced with the new ones (as seen from his recent Facebook Post:

I'm going to guess that the "more flat" dancepads are going to be for the dedicabs while ex-ITG cabs will be backwards compatible with the new arrows.

Pretty interesting stuff!

Woke up this morning randomly at 4am to a Facebook notification from Kyle saying he just started a stream. I jumped in and saw him showing off the new machine and he even walked around the entire thing with his camera and you could see the screen and song selection. I was half asleep though and the room he had the machine in was super dark but I recall everything looked pretty sleek and sexy. The stream was over within a couple minutes. It seemed like it might just be his Revo cabinet with the new pads hooked up to it but it was still nice. The bars on the pads also had some sort of wrapping around them so it looked like they are being mass produced now especially since he showed off a photo on Facebook not too long ago of a bunch of pads/bars lined up in a room with wrapping all over them. Hype! Apparently he could be showing the game off finally at Gamescom next month in Germany.
