Apologies for posting on an old thread, but I've just discovered something you've most likely never seen before that may catch your eye. Some new footage of this game has popped up on YouTube, some of which even showcasing songs that don't appear in the song list on the first page, making that list incomplete. (The song list only listed songs that appear in the easy difficulty. However, some songs don't appear on certain difficulties, so not all overall songs are in the list.) However, I discovered one video that truly stood out for me. You won't actually believe this, but that "special video" I just found actually shows an updated version of this game, known as Beat Player 2000 UPgrade! This game is likely a modification of the original Beat Player 2000 with more songs added, and maybe even some difficulty changes as well. Though this footage seems to be the only known proof of this update's existence and it doesn't seem to show any actual gameplay, it's still quite a revolutionary and interesting find to me.

"It's a rectangular cuboid!" |
I found a page for this game on Namu Wiki. It is a wiki, so it's not a great source, but it does make some claims.
This game got into trouble for taking other people's BMSes and putting them in a commercial game. Supposedly, the developer apologized and left the arcade game industry in response.
Also, "Quick Master" is supposedly a MIDI cover of the Quick Master from pop'n music.

That dedicab is fucking hilarious. This game is top-tier meme material. Someone send this to Vargskelethor.
I actually wonder if this was officially made or made by another company, sort of like how DDR EXTREME PLUS/MEGAMIX came to be.

Please, seriously, if you want to do this, make sure to only (and I do mean ONLY) send the image URL(s) of the cabinet... I am extremely shy and want to keep myself as safe as possible!Post #50 · Posted at 2021-03-10 11:05:07am 3.1 years ago

Wow, that is insane, must be one of the rarest PCBs ever. I happen to have a BP2000 PCB and I have fond memories of playing it in an arcade nearby my house back in the 2000s lol

lmao I think those are EZ2DJ buttons and turtables. The beatmania top row buttons are black, not blue afaik and the turntables are only on the right side of the buttons.
Which just makes this whole situation even funnier, a bootleg ripoff game being controlled by bootleg ripoff controllers.
