Simple as that, anyone in this region that plays it?
I feel like I'm the only one who does, because the only ITG 2 cabinet around here is at Tee Time, + there's a tournament cabinet that I don't even think gets used.
There's plenty of DDR cabs around though. Pretty old though, like EXTREME. Not criticizing it though, it's one of my favorite mixes.
just some guy that plays games lol why do you care

I live pretty close, up in Springfield IL. I was wondering this too. One of the big problems I have had personally is that at least up in Chicago, all the DDR functions and gatherings are riddled with hard drug use. I've been invited to lots of gatherings up there to play around on newer mixes and its always followed with "there will be lots of Molly or X so be ready for that". I just kinda assumed most of the old DDR crowd just tell into the drug world.

Back to your thing though, there used to be a yearly tea time lock in, but I don't I if that still happens. Everybody I used to know who played in STL either quit, moved, is in jail, or is Nick P. Who is who I hear about the lock ins from.

That's actually kind of sad to hear. Drugs are bad stuff. Sad

I'm in Springfield MO but St. Louis is kind of a drive for me. Plus if I'm driving that far, I'll just go home to Kansas City.

How long have you lived in Springfield MO? Did you know anyone there? was part of that community for years, then went back around 6 or 7 years ago and everything went to crap. The machine at the mall was garbage and the one at the movie theater was gone, and the PIU at Incredible Pizza had its screen switched out but it wasn't the right kind and its all off synch now. For a long time the best thing you could do is go to Branson, and its SN machine started going down hill last time I was there. I used to be able to AAA a few songs, and now its always riddled with misses.

I've lived here for a little over 2 years now.

The machine at the mall got bought but they got a new one that's crap. The movie theater had ITG2 for a small bit before it was removed for Terminator Salvation (go figure Roll Eyes) . The PIU still has monitor lag on it. I've heard about the SN machine at Branson but never was able to find it, so it's likely gone now. If it was going to ass 6-7 years ago, then I highly doubt it's worth a crap now. Honestly I have to drive up to Osage Beach for the closest working DDR cab, and that's two hours away and is only open in the Summer. At that point I might as well take the extra hour and hit up Kansas City to play DDR, PUMP Prime, and IIDX.

Are you talking about Tan Tara? Or the Max 2 on the strip?

I'll admit that I don't actually know any of the DDR players in the Chicago area, but I know a lot of ITG and PIU players around here and as far as I am aware none of them use any drugs. Not really sure who you're talking about.

I can't help you much for St. Louis. There are a few machines in Champaign IL, but that's a few hours away.

It's the old crowd, in their 30s. The ones with machines in their homes that are rigged up to e-amuse somehow. I have some old close friends who are regulars of that group who, unless they are lying to me, said drug use is pretty common.

Throwing this into the world because at my local bowling alley there's an AC Extreme machine and one of the employees noticed that I'm there once a week to play it. He talks about another guy that frequents the machine and refers to him as "the big one," though I've never seen him. If you're out there, big guy, we should squad up one of these days.
BUMP:
I do not know how many people from STL lurk or even look at this thread, but for those that are around, the South County Center is getting a Round 1, which means we might be getting our first Ace machine.
