In Summer 2020 update, INFINITAS have a major update that run to 120Hz, have R-RAN and ASSISTED EASY options, new system BGM, SCREW // owo // SCREW, セピアの軌跡 / Xceon ft. 天宮みや(少女フラクタル), a new CS song, Rejection Girl, and a redesigned interface.

Welp, since it doesn't look like I'll be going to Round1 anytime soon, I might have to finally take the plunge. Those DLC packs are so expensive though, on top of that monthly fee. X_X

Only the Lincle pack 1 is cheaper than other packs.

I finally did it. At least for now, I'm gonna be playing Infinitas for a while. Better than having my Phoenixwan I bought in March collect dust. >>

I wonder when the update's supposed to drop?

(I'm probably only going to play for a month or two, depending on what the update brings us; the songs you unlock with BITs takes quite a while, and I don't really feel comfortable buying music packs yet. X_X )

Kinda sucks that OG INFINITAS is going down February 28th, 2021, though. I always thought part of the appeal of INFINITAS (especially for Japanese players) was that even those with lower end computers could join in the IIDX fun at home. It seems they only got seven months left to do it now.

I tried INFINITAS myself a couple of months back, but none of my brother's IIDX controllers worked nicely with the game, and I sure wasn't going to shell out money for an official PC controller to play the game. A keyboard is no substitute, I can tell you that much.

Did the monthly fee jump up again? It's now 1600 yen per month.

Also curious to see if we can just update the game, or if we have to re-download the EXE file when the new site launches. >>

Why does the update require a new game? Did they increase the system requirements? Hope every song from the OG build will cross over.

If we're going by Gitadora PC as an example, they're probably going to be increasing the max resolution from 720P to (at least) 1080P, and the 120hz option also requires more beefy hardware compared to OG Infinitas.

Part of me is hoping there will be more language options, if we're going by GItadora's tutorials, but that might be asking too much. XD

It might have language options if the update is based on the HV build.

So, um, is the update not up yet for anyone else? I can't find a link to it, and going to the game itself takes me to the bog standard version.

That looks like a DirectX error. Downloading this should fix the issue since you're just missing a dll file

Dowloaded the file; finally made it in-game!

So, a little update:

You now have to go to a website to start the launcher, which is kinda weird, BUT, at least now you don't have to enter in your password every time you want to start the game. The game also won't take forever to update anymore because now songs download when you play them for the first time.

I don't see any way to change the language, unfortunately, and now changing difficulty/SPDP flip is now reliant on using the numpad instead of the numbers above. Disregard that last part; my keyboard was being stupid. XD

New interface is definitely an improvement over the original one, though loading the game still takes a mini eternity. Not much else to comment on, since only three new songs were added for the update. No monthlies for celebration...

An update was pushed out at some point removing the need for the d3dx9d_43.dll file.


Most of the requirements are the same. The changes that I've noticed are:
1. Win10 x64 is now required (previous version ran on Win7 x86 at minimum). This will probably be the biggest hiccup for people.
2. 1GB VRAM is required (formerly 256MB)


As noted in the thread already, there's no language option. I'm not sure if I'd call it based on HV or not, the SP/DP selection screen is present (HV removed this), Beginner charts are only in the ALL BEGINNER folder, and there's still no Leggendaria charts. The graph options are the same as the old version (no PACEMAKER NEXT, for example).

Anyone running into this error? Translated, I think it says to restart the launcher but nothing seems to change when I do.



EDIT: Nevermind, I read that you have to login through the website and that worked.

Yeah, for some reason, the new version requires you to go on the website.
