beatmania IIDX INFINITAS (PC)

Imma try this out!

I did the survey; I doubt they're gonna read it (especially since it's in English), but I'd like to think they'll take a look at it and consider making (at least) this PC game a worldwide release; we have global e-Amuse accounts, so why not let us use them? 8I

I made an E-Amusement account and it was in english without Google TRanslate

Meh, now I'm having trouble mapping my controller to the shift once the game starts playing. Not sure if it's a Joy2Key problem or the game reading the keyboard.

Problem solved. Back to the game!


Looks like they updated it then. When I created a new account last month it was still in Japanese which makes things so much easier!

The only things needed to make it run were:

1) A Konami ID. Anything works. Mine has no Paseli and no e-amuse card on file. Just go through the sign up.

2) The installer won't install the full data (which enables the play button) except during the hours of the test. So you had to change your clock or your timezone.

I got in pretty late. My play time ended with a sudden network error when the alpha ended:

My impressions:
- OMG FINALLY! YES! YES! YES!
- Theme looks like Lunatic Rave, but is very high res compared to arcade. (At least.)
- rofl those hot placeholder result screens.
- My bgms drifted like crazy. (Even when I wasn't streaming.)
- Thankfully floating high speed, towel, sync adjust, early/slow, and everything I "need" is there.
- The "any key" assist option messed me up. It's not easy mode like you think. (You can get bads.)
- The up and down arrows mimic the turntable scrolling on the songwheel very well.
- SP/DP switch is there. I'm not sure what the initial SP/DP choice does in Infinitas.
- Sota's bgms are pretty rockin. It's just typical Sota stuff.
- No menu voice.
- Your rival ID is longer. Mine is C2566-1339-7789. (In the arcade it's like 1234-5678.)
- The extra stage works like normal. I didn't see a premium extra like Bad Maniacs, which I was expecting.
- V was an unlockable, because old jokes are funny!

Overall very positive. I assume they're still working on the theme. (Or that the theme is entirely placeholder and the real 17-22 themes will be supported instead.)

I would like to thank Konami for finally doing SOMETHING for us IIDX fans. Hopefully, the Alpha tests of this beatmaniaIIDX INFINITAS would be but mere shadows of the final build. I am prepared to buy a fully capable PC and DJ DAO for this....under the condition that gameplay isn't lethally bound to a persistent internet connection.

I really hope they bring this to the US and with eAmuse being worldwide now, it's very possible. It also makes me wonder if Konami will start releasing controllers for PC for this as well.

It clearly is an alternative to CS Sirius, they even say it in the opener of the website, "with song from SIRIUS onward"
Well, I couldn't play it this time because of work, but hope I can try out other time before it starts being paying system
We need to see how much one play costs too
Also, hoping that my browser will allow playing this time (can't seem to launch Majhong somehow...)

It was a pleasant surprise to see such a thing appear today (and overall, the response to it was pretty good apparently, I really hope Konami does make it good for the final product)

If they do this for DDR, then Stepmania is likely getting the C&D. I know it's all assumptions and it would be much harder to pull off something like DDR on PC with pads in mind. Same goes for other games like GFDM and SDVX. I think if Konami does this, they will (or would have) pulled the plug on LR2.

The way I see it, this is pretty much the IIDX version of Jubeat and REFLEC BEAT for iOS. It can't be done with a touch screen so this is the next best thing.

i'm sorry IIDX 22 is currently out and IIDX 23 has been announced. this game is not available outside of Asia without sneaky tricks, either. What have they done?

Unfortunately, this game is under the eAmuse Cloud service, which means that it runs a constant internet check and syncs play data on the cloud server.
