Depends on the area. I would think most north Jersey players go to 8 on the Break or cross the NY border to Nanuet.

yes hello
I go to 8OTB rather frequently, because it's a just a train ride away from where I live. Only been to Nanuet once, though.
Also in the summer, sometimes i go to play X2 on the boardwalk at Point Pleasant.

Are the point pleasant DDR consoles good? I have tried the ones at Seaside Heights, but they are in bad shape.

It's good, but not great. I've had a lot of issues with dropped freezes on that machine.

It's worth noting Nanuet has the only white HD DDR cab in the country as Saturday. Well worth the trip if you are only one state over. I plan to check it out when I get a free weekend to go.

Yeah I do I live in Asbury Park NJ. I used to play DDR Supernova at this place in Eatontown which is no longer their. Im Moumouth County there is no places that have DDR. So theres this broken one in Point Pleasant. which is like 25 minutes away the closest one, but 8 on the break in Dunellen is amazing I highly recommend you go there but its about 1 hour away from me. I also play ITG2 in Seaside on their boardwalk at the Shake Shack. Yo at the arcade in Asbury Park they need DDR or ITG for real.

I hate to necropost here, but The Break is in danger of closing, and needs to raise $22500 to stay open and pay off costs they haven't been able to afford because they haven't been open in nearly 4 months. Please spread this GoFundMe around and donate to it if you can!

Damn that goal was SMASHED hours after it being started. I’m so happy and relieved for Chris from the support of the community to help him during these trying times.

Hey guys -- just moved to Jersey City a month ago. How's 8 on the Break doing post-COVID? Since I'm vaccinated, I'd like to maybe go out there tomorrow or Sunday to try it out, since it looks to be a reasonable commute on NJ Transit, but if it's particularly unsafe/not worth it right now I'll wait until the state opens up fully.

8otb is very safe to go to. I go quite a few weekends to play SMX and have never felt unsafe in terms of Covid.

Thanks. I'll head out there today I think. Haven't played DDR since lockdown started and I don't trust Chinatown Fair at the moment because it's so crowded and poorly ventilated (plus I don't think it's open anyway).
