i don't know what rock you're living under but it's doing pretty successful over in japan

I am from HK actually and BeatStream is a flop compared to other Konami games like Reflect Beat, Jubeat and stuff.

My impressions from twitter were that BeatStream is totally a dead game. That's why KONAMI's doing this whole BisCo event, to get people actually playing it.

There would be no real point in making an event about the game if it were dead, though, right? It's like when people say "DDR is dead" when Replicant-d-ignition is a thing.

BeatStream - nobody plays it. it somewhat often gets new content.
DDR - people continue to play it but it doesn't often get new content.

No, because a) I don't know what you mean by "doesn't often get new content" when there's been a lot of stuff going on in DDR quite recently, b) making content for a game nobody plays simply makes fuck all sense and c) you living in japan does not mean you're omnipresent and know how many people play compared to DDR. I recall seeing a post on this website a couple months saying DDR is one of the least played BEMANI franchises in Japan, anyway.

Beatstream is far from dead and has already a pretty good base of players, though, kind of like Jubeat before, it actually has lots of "new" players that don't play other rythm games

Also, the location test was faster than I thought...too bad I'm on working on those days, but I have some of my friends going to try out this new game...Still no idea what it is (maybe some bits will be shown during the next BEnama stream?)
