The theme already contains the cut-ins system, to use it you just need to add those files into your character folder:

http://www.mediafire.com/file/6x2j1e9l5h3qawo/Alice.rar

If you did well, you will get a "Char ready!" message in stage information. And you will see them in gameplay.

https://i.imgur.com/OIVQJ7G.jpg

Note that this just work with 3d characters, I haven't coded it for bgvideos.

------------------------------------

Hi guys, it's been a while since the last update, I've been working on the theme mostly on refactoring some things to make it work a bit better, I've added and modified a bit the support for the dancing characters, thanks to Enciso and Curilang, to activate them you must go to the theme options and choose in Dancer Type the option New with stage, I have "fixed" some things in the interface, I have lost my todo list, so please test the theme and report me here the bugs to make a new list, I don't have much free time to test thoroughly so your contributions would be very helpful, thanks for being pending and here I will be reporting when I have new advances. See ya later

------------Christmas mini update

Hello guys, I've updated the theme to barely support the updated 3D character system, also made it compatible with my cut-ins and also found a way to rip the raining bgvideo, this is not a major update but is a very recurring request and I wanted to fix it soon, at the moment I'm working on the ddr extreme2 theme, but more updates are coming for this and all my other themes, hope you enjoy it, merry christmas

Yay thanks! One thing though. During the group sort, the first folder doesn't show the group banner from its folder in the song wheel.

DDR 1st is the first folder in the group. Instead of showing its 'DDR 1st' banner, it shows a generic DDR X banner instead in the song wheel. The 'DDR 1st' banner is both in the DDR 1st folder and the Groups folder inside the Graphics folder.

Oh and cut ins still appear on songs with background videos. Just to let you know.

I don;t remember how I've coded the banner, I will check that, about the cutins with this update should resolve this issue.

I just downloaded the new update, and I noticed a couple of bugs that can be seen in the video below:

1. The shadowing on the combo counter is quite jarring.
2. There's a small black square on the lower left side of the screen that appears from the song select screen all the way through to the results screen.

I am using Outfox.

^Adding to that, SN2 scoring is broken in Outfox. I've noticed in a lot of themes it doesn't work. I tried this theme on 5.1-new and SN2 scoring works properly. I've actually only used one theme that had proper SN2 scoring in Outfox.

Also, on 5.1-new, that black square is pink and same as what they said it's just always there. I'm not sure if this is actually a bug or because the theme is still WIP, but it's odd that it's different colors on 5.1 and 5.3. And that combo shadow is on there when you have the MFC going. Once you hit a Perfect or lower it goes away. For reference, this is what the MFC shadow should look like.

But it looks great, the stuff that is done looks awesome and brings out a lot of nostalgia. When it's all said and done, are you planning on adding clear lamps to the song wheel? I've only seen them on the DDRA song wheel in Stepmania but the PS2 games had clear lamps starting with SN1.

Hello _|/-\43D, thanks for your feedback, both errors were fixed, please check if it works for you.

Hello n00b_saib0t, I will check what happens with the scoring, personally I use SM5.0.9 to ensure compatibility, I will download outfox and test. The bug with the option icons and the black/pink squares should be fixed at this moment, the bug with the shadow of the combos should be fixed too. Yes, I will be adding the CS details in later updates, like the clear lamps, and the high scores in the music wheel. I'm working to finish the regular gameplay first, and later mess with the course mode that is messed up and I never fixed it Tongue

Thanks for the feedback guys, please redownload and tell me if the above errors persist. I will work on some details like elements position/transitions and some other bugs to improve the experience.

I downloaded the new version and the fixes work on 5.1-new. What you have finished looks really good, X was one of my favorite mixes so I'm glad to see how much progress has been made with it.

For SN2 scoring, if you look at _|/-\43D's video you can see it goes above 1,000,000 points at 1:47. I'm not sure what it is about Outfox that causes this but I've only seen SN2 scoring work in the STARLiGHT themes. In any other theme I've used that was supposed to use SN2 scoring it does what you see in their video.

I just downloaded the new update, and now I can't even get to the style select screen.

Never mind, I just hit escape and reloaded it.

Both issues have been fixed!

Hello, the new cut-ins are from the enciso character system, but they are working fine on my side, could you provide more details about your configuration to see if I can help?

Hello MadkaT.
https://imgur.com/gallery/IDKt0lz

BTW, I guess I could tell you that I tried using the Super Phase Update on an older version of your DDR X theme. It works okay, just not perfect. There are instances that there's a black screen, usually when playing as (1st) Afro with anyone except (1st) Lady. The fix is that I press escape and re-choose the song. Tedious but it works. Also, the dancers do not dance the same routine during versus play, probably the DanceRoutines.lua or something.

Anyway, let's just go for the cut-ins. I don't think I should bother you with the old version of your theme. Wink

The theme is fixed, I've missed the theme options for the Cut-ins, sorry. Very Happy Re-download, and test again please.

About the characters, those bugs are from the character system, I will wait until the project is updated, it does not make much sense to fix it and have it to update again in a future upgrade. Some songs doesn't load the stages, but I assume that is related to the script that evaluates if the simfile has a video or not. Is better to wait until the project is running again. I'm sure it will have various fixes respect to the super phase update.

Appart from the cutins bugfix, the theme have some minor details/updates in some decorations, fixed some bugs with the metrics after the patch, I've also added the CS ending, I will add the AC one soon, and a metric to toggle between them.

I will do a full revision, to check for missing sounds, elements, animations, etc. I will try to add the AC ending and leave the theme in general review, since it is something that will take more time. Thanks to all for the feedback!

"Just Play Along"
Any chance of the step zone positions being moved? They're in a weird position compared to the official game in widescreen, where they are farther apart and higher up. I think the arrows should be bigger too but I'm not entirely sure
