Haha yes, I forgot to include the SR + FF tags on the latest image when really those simfiles contained the most questionable stuff to date which was bad of me! They're amazing music videos though aha I couldn't not include them!

And yes eventually I'll get around to making a conversion of this that uses .avi files for dedicabs and the like, it sucks that pre SM5 users can't get the full experience.

Hahahaha that is AWESOME, I was kind of hoping the Vinesauce community would stumble onto this. That being said yeah, since that song was released on Vinny's bandcamp he actually had a better version mastered AND credited it to RedVox and by then it was too late ahaha. I actually have it updated on my copy to read RedVox and use the correct jacket, so when I get around to uploading it's Doubles chart I'll probably make a new graphics set for it and grab the new edition of the MP3.

EDIT: Anybody who runs Stepmania 3.9/3.95 or OpenITG, or who has their own cab, could you hit me up? Need a couple of things playtested just to ensure there are no crashes! It'd be much appreciated (and would get the next release out quicker.. wink wink!)!

Super glad to see this is a thing. I've got a *somewhat* finished Stepmania Cab in my basement and I've been looking for some more mainstream pad files for my non-bemani loving friends to play, and althought I am quite good at making files myself, I'm glad to have so many songs already made competently! Really excited to try these out!

Ah that's awesome blackpants! Jealous of your cab! If nobody has been able to do the testing for me hit me up when it's ready if you like and I'll reward you with a request or something aha. And I hope you enjoy my stuff when you get around to trying it! I'll be on the lookout for your sims too!

Right now as you can see I am reuploading every file, this is just to get everything up to the level of quality that I'm shooting for. For starters, I have converted every video file from MP4 to AVI and removed any video effects such as the fade ins so there will be a HUGE boost in compatibility with more versions of SM which will be great, especially for those with cabs running OpenITG, most files are receiving a little resync (not that anything right now is off, I'm talking 0.001 millisecond stuff, I'm just being VERY precise with it!), a handful of songs are receiving new Challenge charts and the remaining Doubles Challenge charts will be added too, and fixed for the few Doubles charts that for some reason, even though I'd made unique charts, chose to mirror the Singles charts. A few charts with SM5 exclusive gimmicks are also being edited to work properly across the board and finally a few files have had little tweaks to their charts (Adventure of a Lifetime CSP for example, 2 measures have been changed).

The fact I'm now uploading AVI files too means that the simfile category itself will be the easiest place to acquire the full mix if anybody is yet to download it! Having to reupload gigs worth of content for every few files was a killer, now one quick press of the Generate Pack button and anyone can jump right in!

After this is all complete, I will start dropping the 2017 files and bonus files. Of which there are already a pretty good chunk! You can probably already work out one just from the Speirmix 2017 folder..

Hey Ben. Did you check to see if your new videos working in openITG/sm3.95? I just tried one of your updated files on oitg beta 2 and the video didn't load. I hate to say it, but I think the problem again is that you are using h264/x264 as your video codec. Keep in mind that the codec and container are 2 different components of the file, and they both have to be compatible with the build of SM you are aiming to get it to work on.

As it stands, these will still work on SM5 as h264/x264 codec works, and the avi container works as well, but in oitg/sm3.95, the avi container would work, but the codec h264/x264 will not work. I hate to say it, but your efforts might have been in vain somewhat.

I know you worked very hard on this project, and I am sure you just want to release this and be done with it, but if I may offer my suggestions as to how you should go about releasing this, as I really enjoy your work, and I would like to see everyone happy with your work as well, including you, the creator of this work.

1. I hope you still have your original mp4 video files with the original quality still backed up. I would make your main release sm5 since by now, this is what the majority of the sm players use. Perhaps you should consider releasing the main pack completely videoless (just songs/sm/ssc/graphics/etc). This is a key demographic as there are many that find all videos distracting and some people might just delete them or hide background.

2. Offer 2 different movie package downloads that only contain videos and the sm/ssc files necessary to play them back. One being high definition quality h264 codec/mp4 container with its respective sm/ssc files (which you have already released) and the other being standard definition (480p) using divx codec/avi container and its respective sm files for openITG/sm3.95. You could take this further and make a divx codec/avi container pack with 320x240 resolution videos for dedicab players, but that might be a bit much as I am sure in this day in age, most official dedicab hardware has crapped out on many of their owners, hence the need for oITG, so doing this might be a bit moot.

While handbrake is an excellent video converter for todays digital files, I would recommend using this free divx encoder for your oITG videos. You would have to change the file extension to .avi though.

You could also google free xvid converters and not have to manually change the extension, but that is up to you.

Again, if I can help out in any other way, let me know. I hope that this is your strongest release yet. I understand how difficult it must be to please everyone, so I would suggest taking this post to heart if that is your aim.

Hahaha, yeah I kind of thought that could happen. Sigh! That being said, I'm going to continue uploading these AVIs and the updates SMs as it means when I do get around to making CONFIRMED compatible files then it'll just be a case of unzipping a download over the original and there'll be no need for users to go in and change stuff in the files or whatever. And it's also easy to manage files and folder on Zenius with AVIs. These videos HAVE proven to be a royal pain if I'm honest aha!

That being said there will definitely be a videoless download pack which I'll update frequently. After I've updated everything maybe I'll PM you Tyler to get confirmation that I'm doing it right ahaha.

Ben, if you like, I can convert the videos myself and upload to my dropbox or something for you to download later. Granted, if you have any unreleased files and you didn't keep the higher quality backups, I can't help you on those files. Transcoding a file over and over only destroys quality over time. Do you have your source videos backed up by any chance, or do you delete them after you make your conversions?

Great song pack so far! Unfortunately it takes a bit of time to download due to all the videos (3.5 GB), and it's failed on me every time I tried to download it...

Suggestion if you like it: Bad Things - with Camila Cabello (69 BPM). This is a really good song, I fell in love with it after the second time I heard it in the car radio. I'm already stepping the longer 4 minute version of it, so if this song ended up in your pack I could play it in arcades...

Whew! Well it's been a short while, 4 months I think since my last update, so I thought I'd better kick off this years' updates with a bang! So here are 22 songs, most of which from this year, some from last and a couple from even further back, but not too far! As you can also see, there are new banners and jackets for the song folder itself, which can be grabbed on the first post of this thread or in the download page at the very top!

I'm hoping there are a few surprises in here that none of you expected to be stepped, such as Saturnz Barz, or Hard Times which Paramore only actually released themselves a few hours ago! A pack this size should satisfy all itches so I hope you enjoy the diverse amount of genres and artists here!

There will be a whole pack link available soon, I only have a handfull of legacy files to finish up the doubles charts too and cnvert the remaining videos, and I WAS going to wait until it was all done but I couldn't wait anymore aha!! But very very shortly will that be complete!

Also a long overdue thank you needs to be sent to Tyler for converting all the current AVIs to actually work as intended on previous versions of Stepmania and OpenITG. These AVIs will be made available for individual download soon!
