I'm crossing my fingers this is legit; I'm wondering why there hasn't been an English version of the announcement yet, though. Regardless, It mentions having to make a new account for players outside Japan... at least, that's what I think the google translation says.

I'm wondering how this is going to work; are they going to make localized versions of Bemani arcade games and ship them all over the country, or are they just expanding the player base on the servers to a worldwide scale?

As one of the people who indirectly said "screw konami" on the PW thread, I am deeply sorry; on one hand, this was/is Kamoni we're talking about, and everyone knows the have made promises of making and English version of IIDX/DDR/E-Amuse in general before and not following through on their wishes for a variety of reasons. On the other, however, I had a feeling something was going on behind the scenes since, as I mentioned on said PW thread, the people playing the IIDX machines at every one of the Round1 locations might've given Kamoni a wake-up call and are taking action to start catering to the non-Asian fanbase.

Let's hope this is the start of Something Wonderful. =3

Guess we will have to wait and see what's gonna happen on the 19th to know how this is gonna work. I Hope to God that transfering your ID from Japan to the USA won't prohibit you from using your account to play IIDX/GitaDora/etc. >>

I don't really understand the context of this, but I really hope this isn't just limited to Round 1 arcades. Hopefully, we can bring the official e-amuse server to any arcade that actually has the machines that need its support.

I'm going to remain skeptical until I see it with my own eyes... but this is very nice news.

Hrm, is e-amuse already in other Asian countries such as China, South Korea, Phillippines, Indonesia, etc.? If not, I imagine that may be what it's meant for.

What in the hell are those GIFs?

Speaking for PH players we don't have enough Bemani machines to support e-Amuse. All of the machines here are either pre-eAmuse required (DDRX3, IIDX14, PnM17, GF/DMV8, XG2 (not sure about this one)) or are stuck in offline mode (jubeat copious, RB limelight).
