LINE STAGE is a new rhythm game from the LINE mobile game platform, featuring their cute animal characters.
Gameplay is like a hybrid between Taiko and Beattube/beat gather: Notes scroll right to left, but the buttons are two large character heads, one on the left, and one on the right. The notes on the timeline correspond to the characters. Note types include rolls, flicks in the 4 cardinal directions, and combinations where you press/flick/roll on both heads at once.
Like many "freemium" games nowadays, LINE STAGE uses a ticket system. 1 ticket is used to play a stage each, and tickets recharge 10 minutes each for up to 5. Unlike CROSSxBEATS, however, surplus tickets (which aren't represented graphically) are used up before the rechargeable ones.
