This looks fantastic! Thank you for all of the hard work you've put into this theme dbk, I know I'll be using it soon.

Would it be possible to include "Select Game" into the sort menu with copypasting style / mode select things and changing words here and there? I'm looking to add Pump / Dance selection to the menu so this would be the perfect setup for CF pads with all 9 sensors.

I'm not sure what you're trying to do, but switching game modes is a pretty involved process that involves SM restarting the theme, so it's not really possible to seamlessly integrate game mode switching into in-game menus.

First, I wanna say thanks a bunch for the effort put into this. Stoked to have this theme on SM5 and I love having the arrows options rather than the hearts.
I'd really like to change the colors of the blocks used for the difficulty ratings and the corresponding "Steps" header and step chart statistics. I know absolutely nothing about theming. Is this as simple as replacing a handful of graphics or updating some color codes in a notepad file? Could someone assist me with this if it's possible?

Does that give you any clues about where to look next? Don't be afraid to poke around in other files. I know there are a lot, even within just ScreenSelectMusic overlay, so don't worry if you get lost/confused. This is just to give you a taste of what theme code looks like.
Anyway, post again or PM me when you get that far and we'll go from there.

If you are Windows, use Visual Studio Code
I agree, but it's also available for Mac and Linux.Post #71 · Posted at 2017-10-24 05:25:11am 6.5 years ago

A screenshot with things labeled might help, since I mostly don't know what parts of the screen you are referring to.
Here's one of your screenshots highlighted and numbered 1 thru 5: https://imgur.com/3gQq7rLPost #72 · Posted at 2017-10-24 04:35:17pm 6.5 years ago

are you trying to change each of those elements to be hardcoded to a specific color that isn't normally available?
It appears that #2 in the screen shot I provided (the difficulty blocks) have their own set colors, and then the colors for player 1 (#1 & 4) and player 2 (#3 & 5), will match whatever difficulty is selected. I'd like to just change the colors of the difficulty blocks and have the player-specifics match whatever difficulty is selected.I didn't notice before that the difficulty block colors changed if a different theme color is selected initially. I'd like to have the difficulty block colors be the same across the board, no matter what theme color is selected, and have them set to the specific colors that I would like

This is why I've insisted that a fixed (generated is still fixed) set of choices is not suitable for setting a number. You get bugs like this where someone can't set the number they want, or the system doesn't understand the number they've set through other means.

Firstly, I love this theme overall, great job with it!
The assist options (clap, metronome, etc.) seem to be missing when this theme is active. Are they going to be added?
Also, there doesn't seem to be a way (using up down up down doesn't work, at least) to change the sorting of the songs into alphabetical, etc. Do I not know the right way to do it, or is that feature missing?

You can turn clap on by pressing F7 during gameplay. Song sort options are picked by pressing left and right at the same time instead of up-down-up-down.

Appreciate it! Just wish there was some UI indication that clap was enabled, there doesn't seem to be one at the moment.
