Yes, they are.

I said that [the collaboration week] was a possibility, but it wasn't too well received in the chat back then. Most people said it was too much of a hassle to team up and make a simfile in a single week.

Still, things can change. If most of the participants approve of it I can make it a theme
(as well as allow more than one file per person for other weeks)

Hi Loodee, can you tell me which offset would you put to HANGOVER? I thing my computer has some lag , here it works perfect.

Current offset : -0.320 (just checking so that we don't have different versions or something)

Offsets might differ depending on hardware, my computer probably isn't perfect either, but looking at the audio waveform, I believe it should be closer to -0.268 for an at least playable sync <:

EDIT: Also took a crack at the graphics thing, there are probably people here who are more skilled but yeah

If you're making simfiles to try and get the admiration of others, you're making simfiles for the wrong reason. If it's fun for you, keep doing it. That's what matters most.

Garbage - I Think I'm Paranoid

Well, I decided that I won't give a fuck if my simfiles have doublesteps so I'll keep making simfiles regarless of it. This is a special song because I first listened to it when I played Gran Turismo 2 many (many, maaaaaaaany years ago) and doing some reseach I found that this song is on Rock Band (here's the proof: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DqdnX0yb3xg) so I can say that I've met the requirement for this week.

I haven't downloaded Week 6 files so I'll vote soon.

If you see making files as "wasting time" then there's obviously something wrong. You can't expect a good product out of something that you feel is a waste of time. Having a good attitude and mindset is key in making good files (as well as avoiding awkward step placement and etc.). I know this is a contest, but in my opinion points aren't the only thing that's important. Participating in Summer Contest allows your files to gain more feedback than it would just being uploaded somewhere.

Do what you like, but keep in mind most people don't like doublestepping in files especially if it makes the chart awkward. If you wanted points as bad as you seem to want them you would fix this.

Also, if you've been making simfiles for 8 years, doublestepping shouldn't be a problem. But that's none of my business.

I 've never played DDR on a pad so I STILL DON'T GET WHAT THE FUCK IS A DOUBLESTEP. Is it more clear to understand?

Doublestepping is when you have to hit two different arrows with the same foot (assuming the player doesn't spin around). i.e. (looking at a numpad) 42642, if you hit the four with your left foot, it's a doublestep because you'd have to hit two different consecutive arrows with the same foot.

If you join a contest that is aiming for pad-style charts, of course keyboard-style charts & charts made with no consideration of foot placement are going to flop. It even says in the first posts' rules that pad charts are the only kind of charts allowed in the contest.It's true that most, if not all, participants in Summer Contest are playing with their keyboards. But there are also people who play the files on pad.

I will advertise these posts for as long as I live because they have pretty much made me the stepartist I am today.

The Real Thing: Why doesnt this have more votes, srsly I thought this was shoe in to win. I just cant describe how perfect I find this file to be, from the crossovers/staircases in the beginning to the breakdown leading to fun and long stream in the ends it was all just fun.

Little Little Princess:Everything was really good with the slowdowns and the fun crossovers appropriate to the rhythms. My only concern is the length as I will admit I felt the file lasted a lot more than it should've.

ナイショの話:Im just captivated and in love with this file haha, the 12ths were funs, the freezes in the middle were great and the step jump pattern at the end was cute.

Come Get It Bae:Definitely really enjoying your use of pattern this time and the double-taps were great and appropriate to the rhythms c:

しんでしまうとはなさけない!: Ok I normally don't give HM's reviews but I really just needed to touch on your use of patterns here. I had a lot of problems with your patterning throughout the file, some of which were the odd orientation of your jumps (which you had also used in Gnchu but they were a lot more awkward here) and the awkward final run where you led with a crossover on a 4th note and a very strange and unfitting transition to leading the run with an 8th note which just threw me off and was a bit off-putting and unnecessary. A lot of your patterns used weren't true to the rhythms in the songs or you could've used them a lot better and if you would like to go more in-depth into it you can pm me and I can give you a full review on the chart. Great song, the steps fit the rhythms, but the patterns sadly didn't and it was sad bc I liked your file a lot.
