Hello, I'll be going to Vancouver this Wednesday and I was wondering if eSpot there sells E-amusement cards. That would be all.

Pin Up Arcade Bar in Waterloo, ON is now running ITG/SM5 and with modded pads. Not countersunk but we’re now running low profile screws similar to ITG or DDR white cabs.

Hi all again.
I might be headed to Montreal sometime in the next couple of Months. Does anyone know what DDR machines are currently operating in the area? Many of the listings on the website were last updated pre COVID-19. My go to spot in the area was the Forum Gamescentre, but they have yet to reopen since the beginning of the pandemic. Thanks.

Sadly, I don’t think there’s any other DDR in the area :/ If you’re willing to go all the way to Laval, you can play on a SMX cab though.

Ahh ok. That’s too bad. Talking with someone they said that the Cineplex a few blocks away from the forum has a machine, but you have to buy a movie ticket to access the arcade. There’s also one at a nearby amusement park, but I imagine that it’s closed for the season (and you need to pay to get in there anyway). Really sucks there isn’t too many options considering the population of the area.

Yeah... you’d think the biggest city in the province would have some rhythm game support, but nope... The amusement park is probably La Ronde, which closes on November 1st usually. Then again, you’d need to go to the amusement park and get a ticket, which is way more expensive than a movie ticket
There used to be an R21 ITG in Quebec City, but the arcade closed for 2 years and sold the cab. I’m so happy I’m moved to BC now, because I can finally enjoy all the games I want! I hope you enjoy your stay in Mtl nonetheless!

Nice to see another Atlantic Canadian on here. Can you remember when the last time a DDR machine in NL was? I can think of about 4 different DDR cabs I’ve seen in Atl Can (in real life or in pictures) over the last 7 or so years.

There is currently a DDR Megamix in Riverdale Fun Centre, unfortunately pads are not in great shape and it costs 1.50 to play a credit. https://www.facebook.com/riverdalelanes/Post #193 · Posted at 2022-03-08 10:24:24pm 2 years ago
That’s too bad about the pads. That’s the first Atlantic Cab i’ve seen with memory card slots though. Be sure to put that location on the Arcades page if you want.

Moved back to Moncton NB and every cab here is now gone except for the old Crystal Palace PIU NX machine that's at magic mountain during the summer (and is busted as hell). Cineplex used to have ITG in Moncton/Fredericton, but I think only Fredericton has it left? Otherwise the province is a sad place for dance games. Crystal Mountain used to have PIU NX and DDR megamix but they closed down after like a year.
Halifax NS has a brand new PIU XX machine at playdium which is fantastic, but pads are already feeling the wear after a year. Don't think PEI has anything unless I'm mistaken.

There may still be a DDR in PEI, at Cineplex Summerside. I’ve seen photo evidence that shows it still being there as of 2018.
One area that i’d like confirmation for is Cape Breton. As of 2019, there was an ITG2 at Mayflower mall, but i’m not sure if it’s still there. Someone from the area also told me they thought there was a dance game at the Sydney cineplex at one point. If someone from that area is reading this could confirm whether any of those machines are still there, that would be appreciated.
Also in HRM, NS is a DDR Extreme in Bedford, info can be found on the arcades section. When I was there last August, a staff member alluded that they were planning/considering replacing it with an ITG2 with custom songs. Someone in that area has a private Custom ITG2 cab, so i’m not sure if they were intending to buy it or get a different one. However, the DDR still remains.

Oh yes and I forgot about a DDR extreme (I think) in the basement of the chocolate lake best western hotel in Armdale. I think I know the private owner with an ITG2 cab as well, though I never got in touch with them. Also pump it up at Galaxy 52 arcade in bedford.

The chocolate lake Machine was removed mere months after it was added (the one that ran extreme but with a 3rd mix marquee IIRC), same with the Galaxy 52 PIU I think.
If you go back this far, do you have any recollection of the DDR extreme that was at Sparkles in New Glasgow, NS? (Doxxing myself, but where I live.) It was removed around 2016 I think. I messaged them on FB the following year asking what happened to it but no response. This machine isn’t any of the ones around Atl. Can the last few years unless I missed one. Back in like 2009, in the old mall location, there was extreme as well followed by ITG2.

From New Glasgow the only machine I knew of was the ITG2 machine that came to cineplex (back then Empire theatres) which was...oof like 2008ish?
As far as what happens to machines I always assume that most arcades don't own them outright and just rent them from central amusements which was the case for most machines in the 2000s. With Cineplex owning playdium I think that changed though. Crystal mountain had DDR extreme but I can't confirm if that was the New Glasgow one anymore haha

It wouldn’t have been, since you mentioned that it was megamix, and NG’s was extreme
