Winner: a very very tough call cuz I love at least 4 of these songs but ya boy's gonna have to go with Musical Chairs / Lemon Demon. Chalk it up to nostalgia if you must, but Lemon Demon played a big part in my growing up and Musical Chairs was one of my favorite tracks from Hip To The Javabean, which was for the longest time one of my favorite albums of all-time. Lemon Demon is vastly underrated regardless, knowing how popular Neil's other projects are (Potter Puppet Pals, Mouth Sounds, etc.).

Second place is Jaded / Green Day, from my second favorite album from the group Insomniac. Shocking, I know, that I prefer this over Dookie, but Insomniac scratches all the right itches for me and then some. Amazing pop punk from an amazing group.

10 Song Shuffle 43: Artist Spotlight - Barenaked Ladies
AK: If I Had A Gun, There Would Be No Tomorrow

Another gimmicky shuffle, this time using only songs from Barenaked Ladies. They are one of my favorite bands and I find them sorely underappreciated in the musical landscape. So, the next few Shuffles I plan on doing will be focused on entirely one band each. Each band will be a personal favorite of mine, and I would highly recommend giving their music a shot if you're curious at all! I'll even be nice and give you personal recommendations if any of it piques your interest.

Sub-title is a lyric from I'll Be That Girl, one of my favorite songs from the group and a painfully amazing song about going insane over unrequited love. Not exactly as edgy as it seems here out of context.

Shoe Box was a last minute addition to the band's third album, Born On A Pirate Ship. I'd say it was definitely worth throwing on last minute. Very reminiscent of the bouncy, fun, silly nature of the band that people have come to know and love them for. Steven's vocals are superb on this track and while the backgrounds aren't fleshed out with massive harmonies like they normally are in their earlier work, they still help guide the hook right into your skull. I'm not even gonna complain that this song is technically a Four Chords Of Pop song, because it's done so tastefully that you almost don't even notice unless you're actively looking.
