It's 100% relevant.
Stepmania.com was hacked too in the past few days. There's been a string of really pathetic hacks recently.
I suspect FFR or AIJ is next.

Well shit. Oh well, there are workarounds for the time being. There's always the mobile site, and the cached copy on Google. Seriously though, I thought ZiV was an incredibly secure site. How can someone bust through it like that? It's a good thing Al is on every day lol

The worrying thing is ... I don't think it's a PHP or MySQL exploit....

I need to prevent it outright though, I'm still trawling folders to find any files that may have been used as a backdoor, but so far nothing.

Oh my. Apologies for being negative, but unfortunately, 99% of the time there's a way to bypass a defense measure. A website can be one of the most secure out there ,and still be attacked because of a hole in security. Thankfully, it's all over. To be honest once you got around it, it wasn't that serious of a hack.
