And with this, I've (for now) unlocked every single RSF ex up to date. This is THE RanSai to unlock as many new music and pne chances as you can.

Just got Raise Your Handz! using only free tickets on my end (40 Tickets total) so it seems like Hido's point is valid.
use this chance to try to get some nice RSF songs.

I was actually gonna take this RSF off but after seeing promising early results I'll use the opportunity to try to get some good RSF songs I'm missing.

It seems Capcom ditched the Team event format completely and only goes for Personal High score events now...
I guess is because most teams will go for same score eventually so there is no point in organizing team battles anymore....

And Capcom keeps doing changes. This time they changed the rules of Unlock Festival (from now on it seems) in both, good way and not so good way.

First of all, usual scheduled bonus times seems to be removed from this monthly event's rules. Instead, all the Unlock Challenges triggered during the event, from the beginning (August 21st -4:00am-) and until the very end of the event (August 24 -3:59am-) will activate the "Bonus Mode" with immediate efect (quite good news), and this means:

- Extra boost will be applied for all succesful unlock challenges (for both, unlock points and support points), BUT such boost will be only 1.2x per try. (Previous rules stated a 1.5x extra boost... Not so good news)

- Extra time will be applied for all unlock challenges triggered during Unlock Fest (+10 minutes, same as previous rules).

So, starting from August 21st at 4:00am, we have a bonus timer starting on 72:00:00, until it reaches 00:00:00 which will mark the end of the current event.

I just re-downloaded CrossxBeats after a few years and I have a few questions.
1. What's the point of RP?
2. How does the random festival work? I tried it a couple times and only got songs I already owned. Is it worth doing?
3. What are the puzzle piece things that sometimes appear as rewards during unlock challenges?
4. Any other general advice people could offer would be cool

1) You get certain songs unlocked based on your RP, with the highest being at 2000 RP. RP is calculated through a simple Song Level x Clear Rate formula, and is based on 5 songs that are rotated every month and then your top 20 RP songs.

2) You have a VERY SMALL chance of getting a new song from previous events or even songs you can only get through RSF through the Random Event Festival, either as a One-Time Unlock (have to unlock it during that attempt) or as a New Music (Yours Forever).

3) Puzzle pieces are points towards unlocking the song charts. It takes 16 pieces to fully unlock a song, but unless it's a One-Chance song you don't have to do it all at once. For example you can do it in 4 4-piece unlock attempts.

4a)The game's gone through a lot of revisions recently, but the higher end charts are still for the most part RSF exclusive songs. If you ever want to see Hesperides, you'll have to invest some money to get a few RSF exclusives to help with the RP boost unfortunately.

b) Work on timing early and try to do as many Ultimate Challenge Clears as you can once you're comfortable with a song's chart. They give 1.2x the RP, helping with RP grinding. I prioritized getting as many songs as I could over having good timing and it kind of screwed me in the long run as the 2000 RP is unbearable even though I have more than enough songs to hit it.

Thanks, this is helpful. I just have one question, what is an ultimate challenge? I know the unlock requirement for azitate (which I really want) is to clear 5 on master, but I don't know what they are. Also, do you have any tips for getting into the higher level hard and easier master charts? Right now I can pass stuff in the 30s but reading harder stuff has been really challenging.

For Ultimate Challange, when you select a song if you go into the options you'll see it as an option beneath the TAP SE option.
It's basically like IIDX's Hard Gauge, but I consider it to be much stricter.
You start with a 100% gauge, and the gauge follows the following:
Flawless > +0.1%
Super > -0.5%
Cool > -2.5%
Fast/Slow > -5%
Fast2/Slow2 > -8%
Fail > -12%
Like Hard Gauge in IIDX hitting 0% means you automatically fail.

For those 3 you have to hope for RSF luck for the most part.

On very rare occasions Capcom will bring them back with unlock criteria of "play as a Share Song 10 times" for a limited time but I've only seen those events 1 time each and I've been playing for around 3-ish years.

Anyone play rev Sunrise? I'm having a hard time breaking through rank 960s and still having a tough time with unlimiteds.
Any advice? I need to get out of my plateau.

I tried to go through the website, which directs me to the apple store, that suggest me to go to the japanese one

I appear in the japanese one, tried to download crossXbeats, but when I press "obtain/download" a error messagge appears in japanese with 2 options, one is for cancel since nothing happens, and the other one bring me back to my Spanish app store


so.... ?

you need to have an account for the Japanese store to download it unfortunately.
There's plenty of tutorials available online that walk you through setting up a Japanese account if you need any help with that process.
