Well I'm not really new to Vegas. Been in Vegas lots of times when I was younger. But now it's official. I have moved to Vegas and looking forward to meeting some new faces and knowing where the best locations are these days. I know that Gemini Arcade Palace is closed and I was so looking forward to stopping by there first when I got settled in. Alas, that's not gonna happen any time soon, I don't think. So now I want to know where the best locations are for DDR and other rhythm games. I'm wanting to try out ReRave in the Coney Island Emporium in the NYNY hotels and casino, but where else can I go?

From what I understand most of the players are part of a close knit community that own machines privately and play. And it sucks that Gemini is gone because also from my understanding all the DDR/bemani machines in the area are in poor shape. I am taking a trip out to Vegas in August so I investigated a bit and that's all I could find. Gemini is to re-open in the future though, there is no real time frame it though.

Is there even a ReRave machine there anymore? I haven't checked last time I was there so I may have missed it.
But to answer your question, I don't think there are any good places for music games anymore. There may be a few, but most places in the ZIV database hasn't been updated in a long time. Otherwise, I heard about Insert Coins if you're into more retro games. Every other Las Vegas arcade is mostly all about redemption games anyway.

@Kon: Yeah. I know Gemini is gonna be reopening in the future. From what I'm told, either this year or next year. I was so looking forward to just stopping by there and marvel at the rhythm/music games, as well as being able to play IIDX on an arcade machine versus playing it on my PS2 or computer.
@ledgam: I found it on the ReRave database on the ReRave website, so I would assume it's still there. I've only played it on my iPad. Would love to get a feel for how it is at the arcade on a bigger screen.

You could try The Orleans Casino, if you're looking for some dancing game machines in Las Vegas. It's not on The Strip as most most of the casinos are. I believe it's on West Tropicana Avenue, which intersects with The Strip at some point. There's a hacked ITG 2 machine with lists of customs on it in the Namco Timeout arcade near the theater (iirc some of those legendary ITG players actually play on that machine), and a DDR SN machine in a smaller arcade near the bowling alley. In fact, I'm planning to go there this Saturday to check the place out.
