If you are referring to the manner in the Waiei theme handles Jacket->Bg, it isn't a metric that is simply set.

In Waiei/Scripts/99 waiei.lua, there is a custom function GetSongGPath_JBN that the Waiei team seems to have put together to handle this. That function is then called and used from various BGAnimations .lua files in their respective such as ScreenEvaluation decorations, ScreenGameplay overlay, and a few Graphics .lua files as well.

If you're curious, grepping GetSongGPath_JBN from within the Waiei theme directory will show you all instances of the function.

I'm sorry to report that it won't necessarily be easy to bring from Waiei to other themes yet.

Oh Laughing Out Loud .... thanks you DBK2 though for the info.

Edit: Does this apply to the DDR X2 theme and session '09 theme too?

Okay, so I was somewhat uninformed when I made my original post. It turns out that it isn't that hard!

When you wrote

Jacket->Bg
I'm guessing you wanted the JacketWheel to look for Jackets in this order:

Quote
first, try to load an actual Jacket file
if there isn't a Jacket, look for a Background file
if neither of those exist, look for a Banner file
if NONE of those exist, use a fallback grahpic file

Is this what you wanted to do?

If so, you need to open DDRX2 Theme/Graphics/MusicWheelItem Song NormalPart.lua in a text editor (notepad or notepad++ or SublimeText2) (but NOT Microsoft Word) and replace the contents with this code: http://pastebin.com/s6KdWrXk

If you're interested, lines 29 through 40 are the relevant parts.

In order to figure this out, I followed the guide by djpohly here: http://kki.ajworld.net/wiki/Theme_Element_Library/Jacket_Wheel

I checked to make sure this worked with the DDR X2 theme here: http://zenius-i-vanisher.com/v5.2/viewthread.php?threadid=4920&page=1

I haven't tried this with Session '09. Let me know if you have any more questions.
