BFZ was a great pack. The Eldrazi were actually defeatable, and at least somewhat balanced, unlike with Rise back when they were first introduced. I now run blue-green BFZ mana ramp as my primary deck, and even though it's optimized to its fullest, I still get my fair share of losses from time to time.

Oath though... well that's a different story entirely...

The only good thing about BFZ block was the expeditions. Speaking of, if anyone has any they want to trade for anything (I mean just about anything, my collection is fairly massive) let me know. I am up to 78 of the full 180

Traded in my Expeditions when I got them because they were tanking and I honestly felt like getting store credit to get anything else would be better. Don't know what I would do with another Stomping Ground or Temple Garden.

I'm honestly really excited for almost everything they announced recently. Especially the upcoming planesalker decks, and just the Eternal Masters set in general.

Just remember that the Planeswalker decks are going to be dumbed down a lot to introduce it to new players who don't know mtg, but I'm as excited as you are for it.

More hyped for the 4 color Commander decks though.

I'm excited for Eternal Masters because a lot of stuff I need is getting reprinted (Karakas, Mana Crypt), but at the same time I don't really like to play the pack lottery like I did for MM2015. There's still plenty of garbage rares in EMA, even though they seem to be more playable then last time around. I'll probably end up trading for the staples I need.

Also, what do you guys think about some uncommons getting bumped up to rare? Personally, I think Baleful Strix and Shardless Agent were OK but the rest were unnecessary. On the other hand, I'd rather open a top tier uncommon as my rare then some garbage like Swans of Bryn Argoll.

I don't know why people are complaining. This set is as good as the original MM if not better. The over all value is way above MM15, and anyone hoping that any set they ever make will be 100 percent value is never going to be happy. I have one box preordered and plan on doing release events all weekend when it releases.

Actually, that's not true. Saffron Olive recently did an article discussing the EV of Eternal Masters compared to MM2015, and it ends up being the same. Sure, it has splashier cards that will be fun to open, and the bulk rares are less bulky, but the same amount of value is still the same between both sets. The original Modern Masters is by far the best of the three and will likely always be, and is reflected by the fact that it's currently selling for almost 3x its MSRP while you can easily find packs of MM15 for $10

Was excited for Eternal Masters, but the closer it gets, the more I'm thinking I will not draft it even once/buy a pack. The set is pretty bad.

Gonna buy singles... ok, Ill buy a few packs, but for shits and giggles (plus I like collecting booster pack packaging from each set, odd I know, but IDGAF).

I do like a lot of cards, lots of stuff I will find useful in commander decks... but the print run sizer/availability thing, PLUS the price, is absurd. $10 for a pack, and a low print run that essentially risked causing the same sort of pricing / availability hell that happened with the Battle for Zendikar Fat Packs. >_< Fuck me, WotC, get your shit together.
