Looking through the Storm Unity page...

Why don't they ever come to Tampa? It's always Tallahassee or Orlando but never Tampa. What are we just not....important or something? >:/

Well they ARE based in Jacksonville/North Florida...*sigh* I would have loved to join their events if they, for once, had an event in Tampa which they've never had one, or they did but I missed it or never realized they had one before I knew about them.

Santa Rosa Mall in Mary Ester. 'bout a 10-20minute drive. Has an X; the left side/right arrow drops freeze arrows if you don't bounce on 'em. The down arrow... the weight is a little off and it creaks, but other than that, it's in good condition. 4 songs for a buck.

Is it at that arcade in JC Penny? I wasn't sure if there was another arcade in that mall or not, but I figured an arcade thats connected to JC Penny wouldn't have anything cooler than an Area 51. I'll definitely have to stop by tomorrow.

Is the right side any good? That's what I usually play on.

Yes it is, and yeah the right side is perfectly fine.

EDIT: This part of Florida is kind of barren. There's a SuperNova in Pace (a couple of minutes away from P-Cola), an Extreme in P-Cola Beach, but it's nothing's been unlocked. (Mad) and there's another in Panama City Beach... but the difficulty was set on max and the pads were pretty crappy. Neutral

Alright, thanks! I'll be heading over to the Santa Rosa Mall a little later today. It's less than 10 minutes of a drive from where I'm staying.
I stole DDR X2 CS from the internet; it's my fault the music game genre is dying.

Not sure if it had been mentioned or known before but while I was in Orlando a few weeks back I went and tried out the X2 cabs at Universal Studios & Islands of Adventure. I tested out both cabs & while playing the X2 cab at Universal Studios I noticed that the down arrow on the left side was very unresponsive. I took a little break from regular play to play on basic and pay attention to the pads & when I would give the down arrow a regular tap/step it wouldn't pick it up very often.

...so in other words, it's breaking down. Just like every other X2 machine in the US.

No surprise there, sucks, but no real surprise.

Has anyone been by DQ within the past 10 weeks by any chance? In about a week I'll be able to head back to see what happened to the SN2, just curious if anyone knows already.

It should be mentioned that any of us who visit certain theme park / entertainment locations and notice the pads in any state of disrepair should be reporting them to a technician ASAP. It may not seem like it helps, but for future visitors and repeat visitors it can make a difference.

For Universal/Islands of Adventure in-park X2s, let the Elaut USA attendant (dressed in blue) know.
For DisneyQuest X2/SN2/Pump, let one of the Cast Members know, preferably one close by and actually attending to the machines.
For Dave and Buster's X2, find someone on staff.

It's apathy that keeps machines in moderate/poor condition, but if we all do our part, then someone will at least know what's up or what's wrong and the ball will be in their court. No, it's not a guarantee that pads will get fixed, but it's better than just griping about it here and on the Machine Locations pages.

Those guys in D&B in Orlando are awesome with maintenance. Smile
They saw the pads were a little messed up and offered to fix it on the spot.
I was like..."omg, dis is a dream".

Next time I visit BG (which shouldn't be too long) I'll "play" the X2, and let an attendant know what's up. Not...sure why I didn't do that the last time I was there .___.

We just got the Extreme machine in today but it was MISSING THE CONNECTOR CABLES from the pads to the cabinet making it impossible to play!!!

Also, the sound doesn't work properly. When you press start, it's supposed to say "Dance Dance Revolution". It sounds like it attempts to say it but then it doesn't. Also, when you scroll up, down, left, and right in the menus NO SOUND IS MADE??? The Game Over sound DOESN'T work either.

I'll make other videos tomorrow of the machine but this is all I was able to record tonight...

As I mentioned over on AIJ (Ah,so you are "3X")

Do you have any more info. on this cabinet? Whom it was ordered from/where did it come from? If it was from an arcade, was it working fine before you bought it or was this an online purchase.

If you had the wrong connectors I would have called and asked about it.

As for the sound, I'm not sure. Are you saying no sound is made or just some sound (the music?) It sounds like a connection issue since it would make no sense for audio to be selectively and partially broken in-game unless there is some operator setting responsible for some of the sounds.
