Candy. SODDING Candy. If the Doubles Expert chart wasn't so fun there'd be no reason for that song to exist.
Although everyone that does play it probably doesn't know that doubles exist.

Star. It's on Euromix 2, and as such is played by everyone here because that's the version everywhere has.

R fucking 3. Why does everyone like it so much? Is it the jacks? Are they really that fun? WHY DO THEY KEP PLAYING IT IT WAS FUN 8 YEARS AGO IT ISN'T ANYMORE MY GOD
Sometime ago...somebody (anyone know who?) made a lame "freestyle" routine which featured no bar play...and a lame segment during the long gap between arrows where you run off the pad and run up from behind and jump over the bar.

A song others seem to like that I don't like:
Rhythm and Police (K.O.G G3 Mix). Overrated song. The chart seems overhyped too.
Songs others don't seem to like that I do like:
Jun songs (including boss songs). I don't get the hate.

Those BeforU songs/ Riyu Kosaka songs except for Freedom, Graduation, and TEARS
I love Under the Sky on IIDX but I hate it on DDR for 2 reasons.
1. Very easy stepchart.
2. Very ugly editing.
I only play these songs for PFC purposes and if I successfully got them,
I'll never play them again.

It just sounds like some remix to someone banging the bed too damn hard.
Edit: Oh just realized this is a DDR thread, oh well then. Um I hate most paranoias. I just dont get the hype

Too bad none of those songs are in DDR.
I would totally play them.

LOL didn't expect BeForU songs here as well as R3, but then again they're overplayed so...
In particular, I don't like Remember You. (I've seen it appear in a DDR Extreme machine's player's best)

I remember back when I had a SN1 machine that Wookie Wookie was somewhere in the Top 8. It was always in the Most Popular 5-8 course or whatever it was called. Ugh! I HATE that song!

Yeah. I actually love BeForU but I barely like any of the stepcharts... specifically dislike playing Dive and Break Down.
Tears is all right but overhyped.
I... do not like Haunted Rhapsody. I haven't tried the stepchart more than once and I can't knock it, but the song sounds sort of... cheesy?
I don't know if it's because people actually like this song but how else in the world did Tierra Buena make it onto more than one console game? Ughghgh.

In my country Surabaya , mostly DDR player (especially girl players) love Afronova so MUCH.
I like it too actually but for some reason i'm bored watching the girls playing Afronova over and over again.
Also, on SN2 machine in Surabaya, there is one machine that the number 1 choices is Modern Girl that actually
the beginner player choosen it because they have no idea about that song + the song itself placed on the first place on Beginner Mode.
So, the beginner player usually choosen the first song that they have seen it and not thinking too much about the other songs.

I forgot to add Xepher to the list. The fact that when I started playing Sphere on IIDX made me like it more than Xepher.

"Gimme a mothaf----n' break!" |
This song probably is not chosen anymore, but for a time when DDR EXTREME cabinets could be found almost anywhere (before SuperNOVA was released), I hated I DO I DO I DO. This was because there were a lot of times where I was waiting in line to play while a not-so-experienced player and 9 times out of 10, this song was chosen. Of course now that it's 2012, I doubt that anyone really cares about this song anymore, but at that time, it seemed popular with unseasoned players and I always seemed to be around when it was picked.

I don't really dislike songs that are favored by others, even the overplayed ones. But I did get to a point where I would groan when I went up to any SuperNOVA machine at the top four songs were (in varying order):
.59
R3
Peace(^^)v
Xepher
Without fail!

I can understand the annoyance people may have with R3. I'm not gonna lie, I will still play it myself. The reason why I do, however, is because I have always been a fan of Reo Nagumo's work and because of it coming from IIDX/CLUB VERSiON. (For some reason, the obscurity of the DDR CLUB VERSiON games has always intrigued me, so I always take advantage of playing those songs whenever I see an EXTREME cabinet.)

I love R3... but apparently, so do 11-year-old Malaysian girls... on Basic... for all three stages!

That's what I hate about X2 CS, they added songs that didn't deserve a revival, like Tierra Buena, Baile Le Samba, La Bamba, and Moonster. There are better song, but why these ones?!
And I don't like TaQ songs on DDR, except for era (nostalmix).
