REVIEWS! although considering how poorly my file is doing I might not be the best source for criticism

9-bit Skies: 8.5/10
+ Those stops were pretty cool
+ Steps are simple, but that works well with the song
- The song sould've been at half the tempo

Akai Suzu: 7.5/10
+ Steps flowed really nicely
+ Those freezes at the beginning and end of the fast part were nicely executed
- The chart gets a little sloppy when you start charting the solo. I find that generally trying to chart something like that doesn't translate well to pad.
- Those eighths should have been swung

Astrofalcon: 8.5/10
+ Song reminded me a lot of Burning Heat
+ The patterns were a bit idiosyncratic, but they worked nicely
- I hate gallop spins.

Babel ~Grand Story~: 9/10
+ The meter changes were handled nicely
+ Nice use of triplets and gallops
+ The eighth part worked really well
- During the 3/4 part in the middle, I would have charted triplets, not gallops, but that's just me.

Back on Fear: 8.5/10
+ Great slowdown
+ Good use of jumps when they were present
+ Chart fit really nicely with the song
- Your song choice is atrocious
- The chart could've used a few more jumps, especially in the beginning

Bitter Chocolate Striker: 9/10
+ Nicely executed triplet streams
+ Great use of jumps
+ well executed stops
- You tended to make the player face one driection for long periods of time

Bohidsattva: 3.5/10
+ I like Steely Dan
- Most of the chart should have been swung
- The sync was iffy at best, unplayable at worst
- You seemed to have almost no regard for step or pattern placement
- When you DID use triplets, they were executed poorly. Especially the gallop portion leading into the solo, which was the most offsync part of the song
- The cut was kinda choppy

Bridal Festival: 10/10
+ Steps and patterns complimented the song VERY nicely. They felt like an actual dance, which was really nice.

Cascabel: 7.5/10
+ Is that Rhythm and Police? :O
+ The 6/8 part was really nice
+ That triplet deathstream was well handled and the quick gallops felt really appropriate
- The 3/4 section felt awkward and kinda off. It really dragged down the chart a lot for me
-The was something offsync about the stops in the 3/4 section too. I probably would have started and ended them on a different beat.

Dragon Killer: 8/10
+ I like how you showed a lot of restraint on that solo section
+ The jumps were really nicely done
- Some of the spins felt weird
- For some reason, I don't agree with how you handled the triplets at the beginning, probably because I was expecting the extra beat before the downbeat. Still, it felt a little strange.

Flip Flap: 8.5/10
+ Steps were really bouncy and fun
- However, they didn't really do anything spectacular.

Hydrocity Zone (Act 1): 0/10
-Wouldn't load

Ichigeki Hisshou: 6/10
+ This was great fun on keyboard
- But on pad this is bascially a cookie cutter deathstream chart. Outside of some stepjumps and a couple of sixteenths the eighth section doesn't do mcuh of interest.

Kutabare PTA: 9.5/10
+ I love how you mixed up the gallop patterns. They had a really interesting variety to them that added a lot of challenge to the chart
+ Nice use of jumps
+ Thank you for showing some restraint by not placing steps where they didn't need to be placed
- I would have swung the whole chart.

Magical House Cleaning/Blue or Pink: 9/10
+ Triplets were nicely used
+ The steps in general flowed well and complimented the chart nicely, although they could get a bit repetitive at times
- The sync was iffy

Make It Burn Dem: 9.5/10
+ Despite the step density, the song still felt slow and plodding, which was very appropriate
+ The streams in the dubstep part were handled VERY nicely
- Something feeels a little off about those first two stops

Mermaid Girl a la Francaise: 9/10
+ I have to give you credit for making a spin chart. The spins were very cleverly executed and folowed very nicely together.
- However, I actually really didn't like the 24ths here. They felt a bit out of place to me.

My Foolish Heart ~Crazy on Earth~: 6.5/10
+ The double steps worked pretty well here
- I keep feeling ilke this song SHOULDN'T have been swung. Like, that the pattern was legato/staccato eighths and not swung triplets.
- I thought the steps were a little boring

Neurotoxin: 0/10
- Nice job disregarding all of the rules o.o

New Look: 8.5/10
+ Your triplet streams worked really nicely
+ The steps complimented the song very well
- There were a few pauses in the flow that really didn't need to be there (as in, there were still other things going on in the song)

Pop Music Zoku Ron: 9/10
+ The was a nice amount of restraint at the beginning
+ When the song kicked up, the steps did as well. The jumps in particular were well executed
- Some of the rhythms felt a little weird

Radio Hardcore: 8.5/10
+ I really liked that you went with a song that was mostly eighth notes, making the impact of the triplet section, greater
+ The rhythms and patterns used worked well
- The was an odd doublestep here and there
- I didn't like how you charted the vocals for the first chorus, mostly because karaoke-steps bug me a LOT.

Ready Go: 7.5/10
+ A lot of the gallop patterns flowed very nicely
+ I like how you came back to the up-down triplet stream a lot
- The steps got repetitive after a while
- The steps leading into the jumps were a bit overused and aren't that fun when spammed on pad.

Rock You: 9/10
+ Best use of jumps I've seen so far
+ I normally don't like karaoke-steps, but the charting during the "we will rock you" portion was very nice
- Cut felt short, although that's probably because evryone's been posting over two-minute songs

Saber Wing: 10/10
Expert - 10/10
+ Really just incredible stepping in general, with special notice given to the crossovers before the slowdown.
+ The stops/speed changes threw me off at first (are they the same as the original? I don't remember) but they were implemented quite nicely
Challenge - 10/10
+ Basically everything I said for the Heavy. The crossovers were INSANE here though. I love them <3

Smile Smile Smile: 7.5/10
+ Ponies!
+ The transition into the eighth part was handled nicely, and I though the charting of the second half was overall pretty nice
- A lot of the patterns on the swung part didn't work too well though. I think you tried TOO hard to follow the song and ended up with something that doesn't translate so well to pad.

Space Drive: 7/10
+ The triplet part at the beginning was nice
+ There were several interesting patterns, particularly at the beginning of the chorus
- The chart felt a bit directionless to me and a little bland
- I normally like streams but I HATED the one you used at the end of the song. It just felt off to me, I dunno.

Star Command: 8.5/10
+ The stream patterns were VERY nice. DDR could use more interesting boss songs like this
+ Great use of 24ths
- A couple of the speed changes were unnecessary - the song could have easily stayed in a triplet feel
- There were a couple of patterns towards the end that were a little awkward
- I didn't like the fade cut

We're Going to Birdie: 8/10
+ Great use of 16ths in the second half
+ The steps flowed nicely and were generally well executed
- There were some awkward doublesteps
- That final stream really didn't need to be there

You Are a Pirate: 8.5/10
+ LAZYTOWN
+ Steps flowed nicely and were fun despite their simplicity
+ The stop was very nicely executed
- The steps were very predictable and felt bland at times

Yume Ni Tsuite Type A: 8/10
+ The triplet part was great
+ Some very god crossovers in here, mainly in the eighth-note sections
- Although you got around it a few times, there was still quite a bit of karaoke-stepping here when there didn't need to be
- You made the player face one direction a lot

Zoot Suit Riot - 9.5/10
+ The chart was pleasant. There's really no other way to describe it. It wasn't the most flamboyant chart this week, but it works very well with the song. I especially liked the jumps at the end. Nice work.

Well you didn't have to rub it in, but I'm not mad or anything. I deserve that zero. I didn't pay any attention to the theme before I even upload my DQ'd simfile (which is taken down).

Yeah. I know I saw the graphics both in War Games and SC2011, but I'm not sure if they're exactly the same file. Even so, things must be new for the contest, so doesn't that mean graphics as well?

About a year ago. I completely re-did it, and it was pretty old, so I thought it would be OK.

edit: fine I'll make new graphics
