Misrated songs

I'm sorry but no thanks. PARANOiA survivor is easily a lower middle 15, and it should stay that way because the gap between 14 and 15 was (and although not as much anymore, still is) a little too big. I don't mind some filler material in between.

Samurai Shogun vs. Master Ninja D- as a 14 would be especially downright horrible. The chart is extremely punishing if you don't remember which foot to hit the next arrow after a jump or where you have to reposition yourself. It's also far more tiring than it looks.

I'll get back to talkion once I have time to actually write something cohesive.

For me, the main feeling I felt after playing Awaodori is "it's hard to keep up with." Its constant flow of gallops paired with the tricky alternation between gallops that have to be hit on the same or different arrows make it hard to reorient yourself once you've lost your way. Not only that, but the song has some pretty fast streams or gallops compared to what you might expect. It throws you an extended 12th stream at 200 (equivalent of 150 16ths) into what becomes repeated gallops at 260BPM (equivalent of 195BPM 16ths). This blows patterns like ZEPHYRANTHES' or Shunpuu Blowing Wind's out of the water imo. Plus the song just sounds so damn disorienting. Perhaps there's a layer of subjectivity to all this, but I just can't see someone breaking into 14s clearing this easily.


Your observations may have been on point some time ago, but I feel that given the precedent A20's reratings and new songs have set the bar has been lowered significantly for 15s.

I'm on the fence about this, but maybe ORCA D- 18 -> 17. It's my highest scored D18 by a wide margin, and I'm someone who has trouble clearing 16s on LIFE4. The gimmicks are the reason for the difficulty, but even with the gimmicks it's a 17.

I actually agree - I think the only reason ORCA D- is an 18 is that it is very definitely harder than the S- 17 (there is literally no way to compare the two in which the singles is harder), so they rated it because of that.

Toy Box Factory SP- and Afterimage d'automne SP- should both be 15s.

I seriously think KHAMEN BREAK is a 17, Not a 16. its too streamy for a 16 and kind of lengthy honestly.

Are you sure about this? There are many level 16 charts that are streamier than that one. GAIA is a respectable 16 and a perfect example of that.
