yeah, neu's extreme chart is a 10 until it gets rerated to 9 in clan; the problem is that neu is a hard 10

I can't believe no one's said it here, but:

Triple Journey -TAG EDITION- is absolutely a 17, I have no idea how it got away with a 16.

Pluto The First could possibly get away with an 18, it's a nasty 17
FAXX could possibly get away with a 17, due to basically just being the Expert chart with some filler steps (and not even that many)
DeltaMAX could get away with a 16, though it would definitely be on the harder end

Valkyrie Dimension should be a 14 (currently rated 15)
PARANOiA Revolution should be an 11 (rated 9)

I haven't caught up very much but there is still NO WAY PSMO is a full level easier than Saber Wing

EGOISM 440 Doubles should be a 20

bass 2 bass SP should be like a 12
siberite and EDSM also should be 14s (also SP )

A few of my grievouses, having recently gotten back into actively playing DDR.

Electronic or Treat 14 -> 15
Right on Time (Ryu Remix) 14 -> 15

I mean, these are way harder than Valkyrie dimension and that's a 15. I remember the first time I played these my thoughts were "when did 14's get so HARD?" I only cleared Electronuic or Treat this weekend and that was long after I had cleared stuff like Max 300 and Another Phase .

Speaking of Vd though, gonna agree with:
Valkyrie dimension 15 -> 14

Waaaay easier than almost any other 15 out there, even with all the gimmicks. I actually passed it way before I got even close to passing any other 15.

I'd like to bring up Dispersion Star S- again. That chart is the sole reason why I bumped this thread, and no one else has mentioned it. I mean, in what universe is Dispersion Star considered a 13? (Not mine, that's for damn sure.)

I know that one has adressed it in the past, but I'll bring it up anyway, what the hell were Konami smoking when they rerated Make It Better to X-ratings? 7 on light? 9 on standard? 12 on heavy?! If anything, the ratings are more akin to a 5, 7 and 10.

To answer your question, 16th trills at 180 beats per minute are considered fast and can throw you off balance if you aren't careful. Most 12s at this speed are devoid of 16ths that last more than 3 arrows, and not one 12 footer that I know of has more than five at this speed. Dispersion Star would be considered practice material for stuff like Engraved Mark. It's actually rather intriguing that that's the one and only chart out of all of DDR that tempted you to bump this.

But there are only 3 sets of 16th trills in the entire chart, with each of them being 9 notes in length. If there were more than 3 sets, or if just one of them had more than 9 notes in length, then I cound understand how that's the deciding factor in rating it a 13. However, I personally feel that 3 16th trills of 9 notes should not singlehandedly justify it being a 13.

I honestly can't think of any 13s that play like what you listed. Emera being a 14 is a bit far as well.

But if no Level 12 chart has trills of this speed and length, that's usually enough reason to rate it above a 12, given trills are inherently too difficult at that level.
