Arcade Location Game Requests

I was given a link to this page to add individual game info to. I looked through the first and very last two pages to try to get an idea as to what kind of details people usually send in but I didn't see any, so let me know if there's something more or less you want as far as these go.

Here is info on all Multi-directional shooters that I'm familiar with.


Asteroids--Each game/new wave starts off with several large asteroids; shooting one by the player will cause them to break up into two medium-sized asteroids, each of which will turn into two small asteroids that can then be destroyed. U. F.O.s will appear during each wave that shoots at the player, although they are worth more than any sized asteroid.

Hyperspace can be used as an emergency to send the player's ship to a random area of the screen, but there is a one in five chance the ship will blow up upon re-entry.

Getting hit by an asteroid, blowing up upon re-entry or a shot from a U. F. O. will destroy the player's ship and the game will end when there are no more ships left in reserve.

Black Widow--Usually dubbed a "vector Robotron: 2084", the player controls a black widow that confronts many bugs during a level. One kind cannot be destroyed, others can, but leave grubsteaks behind (i. e. dollar bill signs) that can be collected for points, and others produce eggs that must be pushed off the screen before they hatch. Bonus rounds include hordes of fast-moving bugs that must be shot or avoided before they fly offscreen.

Being touched by any bug will cause the player to lose a life and the game will end when there are no more lives left in reserve.

Bosconian--The player controls the space destroyer Bosconian that flies around a large sector of space and must destroy all space stations within that sector in order to advance to the next one. This can be achieved by either firing a shot straight up a station's center or shooting all pods on a station. Various hazards and smaller spacecraft hinder the player's ability to complete waves, along with if the player takes too long to clear out a sector, "Condition Red" could occur, where small spacecraft start swarming the player.

Colliding with any ship, ships' missiles or other hazard will cause the player to lose a ship and the game will end when there are no more ships left in reserve.

Sinistar--The player must stop their enemy, the Sinistar, from being built to completion. The player must mine onscreen planetoids for crystals by shooting planetoids until crystals start emerging from them; gathering crystals will create Sinibombs, which is the only way to destroy the Sinistar. Once the Sinistar is built, the Sinibombs can be used to destroy the Sinistar.

Worker ships can steal crystals, however, and Warrior ships can shoot the player's ship. Being hit by a warrior shot or being caught by the Sinistar will cause the player to lose a ship and the game will end when there are no more ships left in reserve.

This was also an early game to use voice synthesis, as the Sinistar taunted the player during the game once built.
