Wow, SD. You definitely are a talent at this! :-) There are a couple there I think I like a li'l more than what STARLIGHT will be. Really impressive stuff. As with everyone else, I definitely look forward to the finished product.

Geezus. Sorry if none of your bodies were ready. I'm just cool like that. Kidding...
Anyway, most of these would be alot more dynamic than STARLIGHT. The water and underwater reflections in the water theme, the equalizer and rave lights in the rave theme, the clouds and sun moving gradually in the sky theme, all the graphics moving along in the IIDX styled one, and the panoramic moving view of the Las Vegas skyline. I'm not sure if all of that could be fully realized in SM5 but who knows. The rave theme is basically DDR 2010 done with my touch and it's color scheme matches too. All of these have their mechanics and animations figured out but I can't go into detail since the list is freaking long.
I can come up with concepts on a whim but as you can see, several of them are based on ideas that friends gave me over the last few months. I can actually refine these alot more but STARLIGHT is my primary project and depending on how well received it is, maybe I can move on to more in the future. STARLIGHT is being refined more and more each time we work on it so even though it looks medium-impressive compared to these, don't be so quick to judge. At least not yet lol

I'm quite speechless @__@ those screenshots look so beautiful already, I can barely imagine how it'd be if they would be succesfully animated in SM5.

Having seen the work Devin has done, STARLIGHT can support a ton of resolutions, including those no one would actually want to use. XD 4:3 I'm pretty sure is a definite.

Now that I think about it, the X2 interface looks really nice. The only problem I can think of is trying to convert my song banners from pre-X2.
