I think that the "bad" charts are probably coming from a single charter. You notice that the charts with broken flow do it intentionally. It's not like most of the chart flows then bam, it's broken, each double step happens and is mirrored in other parts.

Good things that our DDR X3 machine charges at 12 Philippine Pesos (equals 0.27 US dollars) with double premium ON.

All arcades in Japan that I've been to always had 4 songs with joint premium and double premium on. If I'm playing alone, I usually just have the second player side playing along in case somebody just wants to jump in so that I fully utilize my credits.

You don't know what good steps are, sorry. People prefer Japanese stuff because historically they've proven that they make the better charts and/or fix issues with steps. This doesn't mean american stuff always suck, most people will have an Ultramix or a Universe game in their favorite DDR games, and those were american-made games.
I've been playing DDR for 11 years. I know when a song has good steps and when a song doesn't. It's an opinion anyways. But New York EVOLVED doesn't have bad steps. Songs like MEMORIES and L'amour et la liberté (DDR ver.) have bad steps. They're awkward and hard to follow. New York EVOLVED is hard (as it should be) without being insane. The steps flow right to the song (on all three versions). I don't get the hate. I'm just trying to call out those who say a song has bad steps just because it originated from an American game. Judge a song based on what it is, not where it comes from.

IMO, the sloppiest NY Evolved chart -S would have to be Ver. B. The beginning of the song is fine but this chart is just brutal to step...

I don't care where songs originate, but New York EVOLVED has sloppy, crappy HP2 style steps. The rhythms are ok, but the placement is just sloppy, sloppy, sloppy, and it doesn't even seem intentional. Seule and Haunted Rhapsody are clearly intentional, but NYE just looks like the chart writer has no idea how people play. I don't mind awkward step placement, to a degree, but I personally don't find NYE even remotely fun. I sort of like osaka EVOLVED, and I like tokyoEVOLVED, but can't stand NYE. London EVOLVED is awesome, but I find a little weird.

Well, I've been playing for nearly 12 years and I have AAA'd nearly the entire game (from 1st to SN1, only a few 10 footers and mix-exclusive songs left). It seems that you are pretty bad at "Sorrow" songs if you think those are examples of bad charting, learn to play those and tell me later, since I (and most competent DDR players) think those two songs have very nice and unique charts. NYEvolved has to be one of the worst charted songs in the history of DDR. Someone above mentioned that he believed that the chart is bad on purpose, but let me tell you, if we are arguing about if a song was poorly stepped on purpose or if it was intentional, I think the facts speak for themselves. You like something terrible. But don't worry, I believe we all do. And I'm still angry at the fact that Let Them Move was not revived for X3 vs 2nd Mix. And I already told you that it's not a japanese vs. american thing, we are all quite fond of some of the western releases.

I think there'll be one more EVOLVED song in this tour. But just one more.

It'll probably be London EVOLVED.
Then hopefully they can stop with the EVOLVEDs forever.

I never said I was bad at them. I can AAA them no problem. I'm just saying that it's unfortunate that the steps weren't as good as the songs. That's my opinion; you're welcome to disagree with it if you want.
And try not to speak for anonymous others, it makes you sound like you're talking out of your ass. Like when you said "and most competent DDR players"; even if by "most" you meant more than 50%, do you really know thousand of competent DDR players? Don't speak for everyone when maybe you and like two friends think the same thing.
I like something terrible. Fine. I'm obviously not going to convince you otherwise. There's no longer any point arguing this with you.

The final evolved song should be called worldEVOLVED.
