On DDR Max US, all the doubles charts for Cutie Chaser are the same.

Now that you've mention it, CUTIE CHASER (MORNING MIX) DID got new Single HEAVY and Double STANDARD and HEAVY charts in DanceDanceRevolution EXTREME.

One of those concepts looks just like ITG lol... Is there any footage of that HP1 demo? I wanna see those Mario MIX routines

Late reply. Notice how Goods were called "Fast". Also HP still had some graphics from Mario Mix. Freeze Arrows also seem to miss an animation

I was watching this...

When it got to Samurai Sentai Shinkenger (known as Power Rangers Samuari in the US) the song sounded familiar to me and sure enough it was Samurai Sentai Shin Ken Jaa from Music Fit.

I had absolutely no idea that a Super Sentai/Power Rangers song was in a DDR game.

STRIKE was the last to actually advertise Dancemania. SuperNOVA had a lot of Dancemania licenses, but didn't have a splash screen advertising the series nor did it have CDTitles showing the originating album. So SuperNOVA was hardly advertising the series; if you didn't know any better, you'd have no idea they were Dancemania. SuperNOVA2 didn't have any of that either.

You could argue that since the Japanese SuperNOVA site had a link to Dancemania's site, that's the advertisement, but IIRC the game made no mention of the series at all.

Just saw this post. It's been ages since I've played SN1 AC, but I do remember that there was an Intercord Japan logo with text saying something like "featuring songs from the Dancemania series by" right above it at the very end of the credits.

Yeah, NicholasNRG posted a picture of the credits. It indeed did include the dancemania credits, but I think it was TOSHIBA EMI and i-dance instead.

Dancemania was not advertised in-game, but it was advertised on the arcade cabinet, on the artwork to the sides of the machine (in Japan). It showed the cover art of Dancemania EX 9 and Hime Trance.

I remember looking at info about Hottest Party in Nintendo Power and the screenshot showed the game looking like Supernova.

Yeah the beta version of the game had Emi and apparently there are some screenshots with more SuperNova characters (I think Afro was in one of those screenshots).

Also, as a matter of fact, that version was heavily based on DDR With Mario, except the characters were obviously removed, the stages were changed too and freeze arrows were added as well (Mario Mix doesn't have any charts with freeze arrows, but I don't know if the engine already supported those)

So what you're seeing here is basically Emi dancing the same routines Mario dances on his game.

What I find pretty interesting is the fact that the singers for some of these HP beta songs are different from the final product. I'm glad they changed them, especially Gonna Make You Sweat.

(also lulz at Emi spinning at the end)

I lurked a bit and Hottest Party indeed had Supernova graphics on it.

There was even a 4 player mode

http://i11b.3djuegos.com/juegos/2062/dance_dance_revolution_hottest_party/fotos/set/dance_dance_revolution_hottest_party-208174.jpg

The development of Hottest Party sure was interesting. It sure is interesting how some builds were straight up ports from Supernova while others (and probably the final game as well) were based on Mario Mix. Honestly I don't know if Hottest Party still has some leftovers from the beta versions, but it'd be interesting to check out if there are some files left.

Here's a cleaner promotional art SomethingRandom posted earlier

The logo is the same in the final version, and I think all the dance stages (the backgrounds the dance characters dance on) are present in the final game as well.

I'm still stuck in nostalgia mode, trying to get back into playing AAs on 14/15s but now can barely tackle 13s without needing a second; my CF is even more worn out than I and I even kept it up.

Interesting little things:

-High School Love is in the Winx Club mix, but never made it anywhere else despite being a popular Yoshitaka track.
-Leave Me Alone will forever be alone as a license only used in DDR SN2 JP CS despite not being categorized in the license section. (I also liked the song, too. T~T)
-DDR Festival is a bitch because it is the more useful PS2 CS compared to the US's EX due to being the only version to be released without Dance Play settings, which made life hell for us who attempted to severe their corner arrows just so they could play because game saves are now obsolete when there's SM around the corner
-Blueshark will forever be known for the best manufactured metal pads, yet they are also the worst company with customer service and shipping. (Infinite Prayer T~T)
-Injection of Love (Hina Mix) fails to impress the days of E-Rotic despite being one of the only US CS releases with E-Rotic licenses....

There are tons of random ones, but I assumed half of the people still browsing this thread are veteran players that have spent years on the series.

I'm pretty sure You Leave Me Alone was also on MAX US. Nevermind I mixed up both songs

Not to mention is has lots of crossovers that never appeared on an AC release (Nemesis? Something Wonderful? Both versions of Infinite Prayer? Outer Limits? MGS2 mission R? I'd love to see those someday)
