So now that we have this new wonderful app. Is there a way to get the older version 3.9.11? Also the songs? I actually brought an old iPad a few days ago to come back and play again… but they just updated it so I’m stuck with a useless iPad. Nevertheless I tried the the new version on my iPhone… in short, didn’t like it (it even lags while I’m playing). I hope they will fix it later but till then I NEED a solution to play

No, there's no way to play the game earlier than 4.0 now. And that's all I can publicly tell you.

There was a patch released today and it addresses the app crashing while playing a song. As an apology for the app's issues Konami has given out 10,000 coins and 500jBlocks (which you can buy a song pack to play on Plus Mode) but you can only claim them until the 18th of June. There's still a major problem with the game being totally unplayable for songs on Plus mode that needs to be redownloaded.

New Mission Mode added where you can grind for points and jCubes daily by completing various missions.

On Plus Mode you can now directly go to options without exiting to the main menu. You may adjust the timing for Plus Mode independently from Normal Mode. Konami is still aware that timing for Plus Mode songs is offsync and says it will take time to address the cause of the discrepancy. The addition of the Plus Mode timing option is a temporary fix to the problem.

New songs added to JPOP section of Normal Mode as well as a new section called SOCIAL.

Load times and general sluggishness have been reduced.

System BGM can now be adjusted (it was too loud).

As an apology Konami has issued players to claim 1000jCubes and 10,000 coins claimable from now till July 3rd.

A new update has been pushed.

New songs added for Normal Mode by the band Golden Bomber as well as other musicians from their record label Euclid Agency.

New changes to the U/I.

There's a new daily log in bonus board for the month where you can potentially earn up to 1000 jBlocks (good for a couple of song packs to keep on Plus Mode). Daily missions are still available to claim your usual 1000 coins and 20jBlocks a day.

Timing options expanded. When testing you can now see a numerical value of your presses. There's also a function added that has you tapping your screen 8 times to determine your timing offset. This also means Plus Mode still requires you to manually adjust timing for optimal play.

For Plus Mode, a retry option has returned.

Another update was launched today. On top of the daily missions you can claim for 1000 coins and 20 jBlocks, long term missions have been added. These missions are cumulative that tracks your progress such as how many times you’ve logged in, how many songs you played, how many gacha pulls you’ve done, what level you’ve reached etc. It’s retroactive so I got like 60,000 coins today with 200 jBlocks from my days playing the game.

Until today, they just ignore the fact that the error that i have still remains. All that i can say, i lost my few packs, this game is a total BS. Bring back the OG jbplus, KONMAI.

Shameful confession: I can't read japanese and accidentally spent 600 yen on jblocks thinking it was 40 yen. God damn gacha game.

They need to bring back the original jubeat plus.

The old jubeat plus is not coming back and errors due to illiteracy of a language and game not meant for outside of Japan is strictly at the fault of that player. The old app was heavily pirated it's not in Konami's best interest to bring it back because some people are having trouble navigating its Japanese interface. The patches and updates improved the game (minus the poor guy that's been having errors), plus the amount of new content is massive which is unprecedented. There's still room for improvement, but I've come around to this new game. I wish audio quality was improved on Plus Mode. I would like more songs from festo come over. Hell I've scored better on the new app over Plus. Though that might be due to software.

Oh I know it was my fault, I felt like a clown for not translating it before pressing purchase.

I guess I would like if it took on more of a traditional "play to unlock more songs" arcade mode, vs everything needing to be purchased in some way or another, since you have to recharge your energy, or spend jblocks to play charts, etc. Sucks the fun out of playing casually.

If you want to play casually there’s Plus mode. Functionality the old game is still there. You don’t have to play normal mode, it’s designed to allow players who don’t want to spend real money buying song packs to unlock and play songs with restrictions. They only added one step to buying song packs it’s not that big of a deal. The overwhelmingly vast majority of your song packs from the old app are ready to be played on plus mode without the stamina gauge to worry about.

I think what I mean to say is, I like that they have newer songs available, but I would like if those newer songs could be unlocked with methods that didn't require premium currency.

Oh come on this is lazy talk. You can easily use a translator with your phone to translate anything the app throws at you, there are a multitude of apps and PC stuff to translate the game if you can't read it you can't use that as an excuse for this game not seeing an audience of people playing it. And also the appeal is the japanese audience who play the game on a regular basis, more people play than you think. Also the interface is easily navigatable even if you don't know japanese, things are very easy to find and figure out in the interface. So all I see from your comment is an excuse. Come on, You don't see many people playing this? Do you even play bemani games? Because you clearly don't understand the bigger picture of the appeal of rhythm games if you think most people won't play because of a language barrier.
