The X2AC album art remake thread

skye712, that is news to me. Do you know the names of the specific albums?

Yoko's boobs aren't quite right... as I posted here, Konami's X2 album art for Trust is vertically extended downward, beyond that seen in the anime's first episode and the first movie. So I had to recreate it. Fonts are approximated ("Trust" and "DanceDanceRevolution mix" were photoshopped out of silverdragon's updated bg).

For example, "Justify My Love" came from Dancemania X8.

Here's the album cover for Dancemania X8:


Instead of simply editing the old backgrounds and turning them into the new covers, I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find high-res versions of the above cover (as well as the other Dancemania album covers) and use THOSE as the album covers for each individual song that appeared in a particular Dancemania album.

Oh. I thought you meant the art for the DDR banner was from Dancemania.

I think you're going to be out of luck, unless someone who owns the Dancemania albums in good condition can scan them. It's pretty hard to find good album art for (Japanese) CD's from the late 90's in my experience...

True. I just thought I'd ask. I suppose I could attempt to remaster each one, but that would take A LOT of work...

I don't even have a working theme that supports the album art yet. I'm still using the old-style banners, haha.

I meant the picture needed a 2 pixel shift and not the text (sorry for the minor error there )

and it only applies in the Nonstop Megamix version of Afronova (the original Afronova is perfect BTW)

Good news, we actually fixed the banner warping bug on sm-ssc. I got a build with the patch here, though it might be in the next minor release.

A LOT of the CD covers in X2 feature font changes. I was going to post my first impressions on playing DDR X2 for the first time and got sidetracked. One of the biggest things I noted was that almost everything older than SuperNOVA got tweaked one way or another, mostly alternate fonts for the song title.
