I've been making music since around Summer 2008, and I figured it's about time I share it so I can get constructive criticism from those that know how to make music better than I do.

Updated April 18, 2011, one year after the posting date.

2008:

[Unknown]Factory Crash / ~86-202 BPM / 1:26
Made with OpenMPT 1.17.02.48, Completed July 18, 2008:
My first completed song. Whatever you do, don't judge my music creating skill solely on hearing this, because I decided to be quite gimmicky with BPM changes in this song (I recall counting 27 of them) and I actually messed up toward the end, as there were supposed to only be 12 notes right before the end, not 19 (And I don't know how I did that without realizing for so long, either).
The first pattern in this had turned out better than I thought it would, considering I made most of it without listening to it. Honestly, if this was anything but my first song, the end probably would have turned out a lot better, because I likely would have stayed somewhat reasonable with the BPM gimmicks like I had for most of the song.

[Unknown]Raileth / 160 BPM / 1:03
Made with OpenMPT 1.17.02.52, Completed November 21, 2008:
I'm not sure what genre my first two songs are, but they aren't nearly the same. While Factory Crash had a focus on the Polysynth and Distortion Guitar, Raileth uses two types of pianos. This also has a consistent BPM, unlike Factory Crash. From the first note to the beginning of the last note is exactly one minute.
Partially due to the way patterns are done in OpenMPT, this song ended up seeming a bit segmented, and it's quite obvious where patterns start and end. The name came from 'right' and 'left' as the pianos are mainly playing playing in the 6th and 4th octaves, to the right and left of the 5th, or center, octave.

[Minimal Bright Breakbeats]Skybreak / 190 BPM / 1:43
Made with FL Studio 8, Completed December 14, 2008:
This was the first full song I completed after switching over to FL Studio. I know for a fact that I made this song in two days, on a Friday and Saturday on the week before the last week of school in 2008, and I keysounded it on the following Sunday. If anyone cares about getting a BMS for this, the Normal is done and the Hyper is about half-done.
The idea for this originally came from a fusion of Happy Hardcore and Breakbeats, but since I didn't really try for complex breakbeats and made it so quickly, it didn't come out too much like either. The melody is quite simplistic as well, and the transition is probably a little overused, but I don't think it turned out bad, though there's definitely room to improve.

2009:

[Clear-Tech]Factory Crash (Clear-Tech Remix) / 150? (130-240) BPM / 2:00
Made with FL Studio 8, Completed April 20, 2009:
I realized I messed up on Factory Crash, and so I decided to remix it. This wasn't originally going to be a remix when I first started it, but that changed 12 measures in, since continuing that as a remix would guarantee that it would be quite different from the original. I also decided that it would be considered "Clear-Tech", free of any noise waves in the (five) instruments.
Getting rid of the transition to the slow part was a bit of a mistake, since it seems more spontaneous in the remix. Since the main issue with the original was the craziness in the end, I decided to change that completely in the remix, though it's still quite insane and still brings in all of the instruments at the end.

[Synthcore]Synchrosythe / 207 BPM / 1:44
Made with FL Studio 8, Completed October 30, 2009(?):
This song was made off of a short 9-second loop I made that, believe it or not, was slightly inspired by the Extra Stage loop for Time to Air, though it doesn't sound nearly the same. For the instruments, I used things that seemed retro, but weren't necessarily a sound that would be on something retro (though I did use the magical 8-bit plug-in for the noise).
To be completely honest, the last 8 or so measures were a bit rushed, containing almost no original patterns, because the song was nearly finished for a few months already (as it was being made before the Factory Crash remix was done). In my opinion, this song would likely have the most fun BMS chart out of all of my finished charts, but the Edison plug-in doesn't like splitting up the saw wave in this song, which makes things a bit more difficult than I would have preferred.

[Space Techno]Mechanized Galaxy / 201 BPM / 1:55
Made with FL Studio 9, Completed December 23, 2009:
This song was made almost completely with presets from before this song was started, whether they were FL Studio presets or presets I had already made. Because of that, no more than 6 hours after I started, I was done with the song (including time not working on it, as FL Studio says I was working on it for 2 hours and 40 minutes). I do have to mention JasonC and his song Blue Shift (which comes with FL Studio), since if it weren't for that song, this one would not have existed.
When making this song, I tried to have a calm space-like ambience and then excite it toward the end, making it a little less natural, hence the name "Mechanized Galaxy". Also, as a side note, this song is the first one I've completed that loops perfectly.

2010:

[Contrast Techno]Solitary Airfort / 161 BPM / 2:17
Made with FL Studio 9, Completed May 6, 2010:
A remix of "Solitary As Fear" and "Air Fort", the Stage 6 and Stage 6 Boss themes from the PC game Suguri. This was started soon after the Factory Crash Remix, but I had stopped for a little while because I was unsure how to proceed with the song and not make it sound bad.
The first half of the song is mostly dark sounding, while the second half is a bit brighter. Since it's a remix of two songs, it was easy to make it not sound like a recreation of the original song, and even the background melodies come from the original two songs.

2011:

[Sub-Trance]Cybernetic Frost / 177 BPM / 1:59
Made with FL Studio 9, Completed April 12, 2011:
I based this looping song mainly around an ice theme. This is probably the closest I've done to trance so far, but it isn't quite trance, so it's 'Sub-Trance'. I kind of see how people make songs so long now, as I could have easily made this song longer if I really tried to (though it probably wouldn't be done right now if I did).
As I had no intentions of keysounding this from the start, I used quite a few filter automations throughout the song, and now I see how useful they can be. I guess it just goes to show that experimentation is one of the most effective ways to get better at making music.

Since I didn't particularly feel like uploading them separately, nor was I sure that others would feel like downloading them separately, I currently have all six of the 2008 and 2009 songs in one zip uploaded to MediaFire here:

All you need right now is effective synths, samples, and a better understanding of how techno works and you'll be fine.

EDIT: Also, happy birthday.
