IIRC, edits for songs featured in US/PS2's DDR X can be accepted by the machine, too. I know songs from JP's DDR X (PS2) can be.

Let me clarify about this edit thingie (having done several)

You can do edits via the online editor OR SimPhony will work fine (although you have to find out the starting measure).

A bit of observation yields that the first measure starts around the time the STEP ZONE starts blinking. (roughly at the time HERE WE GO appears)

So far, I found that songs debuted in X2 AC which I made edits for starts in measure 2 (in SM, official files), which is the second BPM change if you look at edit mode. Referring this as the first measure (relative to arcade machine), songs are editable from second measure onwards. This is apparent from an edit of Valkyrie dimension I made. First measure have no steps, it began from second measure.

Edits can only have at maximum 120 measures, roughly. Edits for songs which have measures more than this limit will cause the machine to crash when it loads the edits. (deltaMAX is about 124 measures) NeoRevenG, it was me who said that Tongue

Daiz said that it is possible to have edits continue even though the song has ended. I have yet to test this.

If you have more question, feel free to ask.

IIRC well JAP PS2 edits only works for JAP cab. Almost sure it doesn't for a US PS2 on US cab.

Check the simphony thread, iirc we talked about it a lot of times.

Well it does but for maybe 2-3 mesures ? Not more. I tried on my streamy edit of Tracers. Ended with 2 long freeze then i started the stream again when the music was off, it should have been for like 30 mesure but i think it was 2 measure long, not more.
I was about to edit some xmix but seing how my Red Zone edit got ruined because of mesure offset, i won't.

So, I can't for the life of me put in the last unlock code on my city's X2. I have both the other 2 unlock codes in but for some reason the last one just won't work.

Things I am doing:

Imputing the code at the Title Screen only (when the pads will light up).
After having both other codes in.
imputing at a speed of about 1/8 notes at 120 BPM.

Is there something I'm missing? I got the code from this site and I just wanna make sure that code is correct 'cause I remember on RoXoR's website they incorrect codes for one of the ITG2 unlocks and was just wondering if that's the case here too.

Thanks in advance.

Even here in the Philippines, we've got the Asian region of X2 and we still can't do anything than to wait for X3 just for the unlocked musics.

I doubt the code is wrong as it's the only MAX unlock code out there.

Make absolutely sure that the pads are not misfiring, as one glitch will mean you have to enter the code from scratch.

What?! I'll see if the MAX code would have the guts to work in the Asian region.

I was talking to T-14, but never mind. I doubt the codes will work with the MAX code.

Do my eyes deceive me or is there actually an X2 cabinet present in Ottawa? If there is, my mind is blown.

Yep, Fun Haven, beside Canada's largest IKEA. Awesome place too.

Next time I go I'll just buckle down and put in the unlock code 'till it works, I've gotta be screwing something up.

My mind is blown. I didn't think arcades in this town would be daring enough to upgrade their machines. Definitely going to check that place out over the holidays.

Question regarding the usb sticks. I know that only specific usb sticks seem to work, and I know about the compatibility list for X on the JP site. Did they expand the compatibility for X2, or is it the same as X?

In all honesty from my experience it seems like everything works when the ports decide to. One day none of my four sticks that I brought worked, next week all of them did.

Strangely enough the data currently on one of my USBs crashes the machine each time I try to use it. Tongue

An outdated list from KONAMI::

But conventionally, pretty much any should work.

If you have an edit of a song that has more than 120 measures (not really sure, but I guess it's pretty close), it will crash the machine. Ex. deltaMAX, POSSESSION.

Ahaha, that would explain it. It's so funny watching it try to keep pushing through on the menus. Takes about a minute for "data loaded successfully" to appear, then just stays at the green background.

Should probably go ahead and delete those edits then...

deltaMAX works fine for me, since X2.

Only POSSESSION, Xmix4 & Xmix5 will crash the machine. (Not so sure for Xmix1 thou)

deltaMAX crashed US cabs. Dunno about other regions.
