Seems to work fine at home and at another location based in Canada for me. The image loads in ~1-2 seconds.

Hmm odd. There's nothing in the server configuration that limits the upload speed so I'm not sure what to suggest.
Can you give it a try now?

There's an issue with files in the same category, in different sections, with the same name. They appear to share all their files, aside from the ZIP.
Here's some examples from the SC20 category:

Simfiles with identical names in the same category will exhibit that behaviour as they are stored in the same folder physically.

If a "Private" simfile is opened for editing, the "Private" checkmark gets erased by default. Is that intentional or a bug? I would expect to need to manually unmark the file as "Private" if it used to be private.

Pretty sure it's intentional. I had to recheck the "Private" checkmark if I was editing a simfile that wasn't ready to be released.

A specific thing about this bug so far is that it only happens when loading the main homepage.
Going into any other section of the site loads almost instantly, but the pain mage is what causes this. I don't know if anyone else can back me up on this though.
Edit: I didn't use my eyes to read, so this post is unnecessary.

A GIF uploaded to the gallery was the cause, it tries to generate a thumbnail for 10 seconds but fails.
I have deleted the GIF that was causing the issue.

Mild layout problem on the top bar: sometimes the clock will end up getting pushed onto the next row. I thought it was my choice of browser for a while (since it happens at default zoom in one browser but not in the mainstream browsers), but then I discovered that it happens in other browsers when the zoom level is reduced enough.
