"DINGDONG♥HEARTS"
I have sorted my simfiles so that the licenses are first, followed by the KOs and bemani crossovers. For the Ultramix series I used CyricZ's FAQ to sort them out. However, he does not have a faq for Ultramix4 so I decided to use the song credits information as a base to sort the ultramix4 simfiles. This is how I currently have it:

Licenses 1
Because I Got It Like That
Dead Man's Party
Diverse City
Don't Cha
Forever Young
I Can Feel It
Listen To Your Heart
Music Revolution
My Side of the City
Nervous Excited Delighted
No Parking on the Dance Floor
Rock This Town
Saturday
These Words

Licenses 2
Arms
Big up
Cannibale
Dual Love
Electric Air
Free
Get Away
Go!
Grandolin
Levitation Nation
Masters of the Universe
More Serotonin
No Good
Oblivion
Race Against Time
Skulk
The Drain
The Problem
There's a Rhythm
Thrill Chaser
Yours to command

Commisions/KOs
Another Planet
Back-to-Back
Beat Slow Down
Celebrate Nite
Cosmic Hammer
Desire
Edge of Control
Hypnotic Crisis
Senses
Sigrev2
Snake Charmer
Sockem
Tooryanse
Zetsuboutekida

Crossovers
bit mania
Chocolate Philosophy
Classic Party triathlon
Girigiri Daddy

Powers
Power 1
Power 2
Power 3
Power 4
Power 5

"Boss songs"
Stompin at the Gotham
Insaner Remix

I'm following the method that he used to sort out the licenses, the first set being the popular ones and the second set being the licenses from the A Different Drum label along with lesser known licenses and the broadjam winners.

My main problem is that I'm not entirely sure if I split up the licenses based on that method. Any feedback would be helpful.

How's the songlist sorted in-game? Try that method...

Sorry, don't have a copy of Ultramix 4 to help out.

I can't believe I didn't think of that!! Thanks for the help!

After looking through the song in default order it seems that I wasn't too far off with dividing the licenses. For some reason, it lists Get Up under the first set, while the rest of the AC licenses are under the second set of licenses, and Back-to-Back is grouped with the Bemani crossovers.

I also went ahead and took a look at Ultramix3's default listing and it turns out that that's where cyricz got the listing from. I'll post the corrected songlist order after rearranging them.

"Sarah/Autumn"
That reminds me, I did something similar to this for my DDR Supernova folder since I made it arcade-accurate. Mine went in the order of "crossovers", "from Extreme", "home versions", "licenses" and "new KOs".
Play my game Arcana Seal of Rimsala (SNES)!

Strange, I coulda sworn "Big Up" would be in Commissioned/KO's. Maybe "GO!" as well, since DM Ashura's been affiliated with later mixes too; and being that the Celebrate Nite remix is there as well. How are you going about this, undisplayed song prefixes?

I remember reading somewhere that Back-To-Back was a crossover from, of all things, one of the Metal Gear Solid games, I think the first or second one.

It's not the first as I just went through the soundtrack. I guess it's from the second game as Ultramix1 also had a song from MGS2.

Edit: it seems that Back-to-Back is a remix of track 13 off of the MGS2 soundtrack:

13. The World Needs Only One Big Boss!

Confused

I wouold like some help in this department as well, but its more so for folder sorting rather than simfile sorting.

In-game sort:

DDR
DDR Disney Channel
DDR Disney Mix
DDR Extreme
DDR Extreme (JPN Arc)
DDR Exreme 2
DDR Hottest Party
DDR Hottest Party 2
DDR Konamix
DDR Mario Mix
DDR Max
DDR Max 2
DDR Supernova
DDR Supernova 2
DDR Ultramix
DDR Ultramix 2
DDR Ultramix 3
DDR Ultramix 4
DDR Universe
DDR Universe 2
DDR Universe 3
DDR X

This is what I want to rearrange it to:

DDR
DDR Disney Mix
DDR Konamix
DDR Max
DDR Max 2
DDR Ultramix
DDR Extreme
DDR Extreme (JPN Arc)
DDR Ultramix 2
DDR Mario Mix
DDR Extreme 2
DDR Ultramix 3
DDR Supernova
DDR Ultramix 4
DDR Universe
DDR Supernova 2
DDR Hottest Party
DDR Universe 2
DDR Disney Channel
DDR X
DDR Hottest Party 2
DDR Universe 3

as anyone have noted that I want to rearrange the folders according to the console games release date.

So any help would be appricated. I'm sorry if this post is a little too long for anyone to view, cause I don't know how to put in the scroll boxes like silenttype01 has done in his post.

Stick some numbers in front of the folder's name. Just make sure to use two digits as it'll go out of hand past 9.

Example:

DDR 00
DDR 01Disney Mix
DDR 02Konamix
DDR 03Max
DDR 04Max 2
DDR 05Ultramix
DDR 06Extreme
DDR 07Extreme (JPN Arc)
DDR 08Ultramix 2
DDR 09Mario Mix
DDR 10Extreme 2

ok I'll give it a shot. I've tried that once before and it didnt work, 10-19 wound up between 1 and 2, but using 00-09 might work. Thanks.

You know you are an absolute genius.
