Check it. I see nothing yet. *shrugs*
Also, a question like that COULD be for gearing towards future selections of songs and stepchart designs.
They don't have anything on there more than likely because they want to surprise us or something...Also, a question like that COULD be for gearing towards future selections of songs and stepchart designs.
...plus, they REALLY never have updated their blogs since Christmas...or even before that >_>

"Revolution" |
Interestingly, if this is all true and the DDROC thread is linked to it, then regardless if they hear our pleas completely and follow through, we may/will not see all of the results at the forefront because of the fact that it will be Vol. 1. If we assume that this rumor is true, for example, any clue as to what our chances are of getting at least half of what we ask for? (since getting everything is probably 0%)

But you know, if this is going to be a "best hits" and be the same game throughout all four systems, I expect:
1. More than 70 songs. Shoot for 90 or above, especially since you can take songs from the Wii/Xbox games.
2. At least a few New-To-DDR songs, come on...
3. A couple of new charts.

I'm actually hoping these games are more like "platform" releases like the Rock Band games, where theres a staple release each year that basically just fixes minor things in the engine, but also allows for songs to be exported to the hdd, so when future games come out, you can play all your old songs too, but with a new interface, same with the DLC. In fact, I wish more BEMANI games were like that, IIDX and Pop'n especially. Then you wouldn't need to fill a new games content with filler repeats.

We contacted Konami on the matter and a representative stated: "We have not made any announcements for DanceDanceRevolution yet. We do not comment on rumor or speculation." However, an indication was given that some news on the franchise would indeed be unveiled at E3, which begins on June 1.

Actually, this isn't a rumor....at least, not as far as I know.
I work for Gamestop, and I just saw the release date for the game.
So far, all I know is that it is scheduled to come out on November 11th of this year for the Wii, PS2, PS3, and Xbox 360 systems...
The price listed is $69.99 for all systems except the PS2....it looks like $59.99 for that one...
Seeing as the DDR: Disney Grooves bundle for the Wii came released with 2 dance pads for the same price as Volume 1 is listed, I'm suspecting that this new bundle will probably have 2 pads as well...although, that's a complete guess
And as for the death of PS2 gaming, I don't think that it will happen anytime soon. I still have dates on the list until the end of this year anyways...
Hope this helps out for you all

I will confirm this as well. I added the details to the original bemanistyle.com story:
Update #2: It looks like naokai is correct. I took a trip out to the local GameStop and the store's new release lists have in fact been updated to include a "Dance Dance Rev: Vol. 1" product. The game is scheduled for a Nov. 3 release date according to the store's listing and only one SKU is available on the listings - with a price point of $69.99 (at least for the Xbox 360 version), it looks like we're getting stuck with a bundle or nothing option much like we've seen with recent DDR CS releases.

"Give me a steady beat." |
I just called a local GameStop, the guy on the phone says their headquarters just today added an entry for Dance Dance Revolution Vol. 1. I only confirmed the Xbox 360 release. Their systems say a November 4th release date.
Edit: I'm going to call some other stores and see about the other systems...
Edit 2:
Xbox 360: Dance Dance Revolution Vol. 1 - $69.99, November 3rd (ship), November 4th (release)
PlayStation 2: Dance Dance Revolution Vol. 1 - $59.99, November 3rd (ship), November 4th (release)
PlayStation 3: Dance Dance Revolution Vol. 1 - $69.99, November 3rd (ship), November 4th (release)
Wii: Dance Dance Revolution Vol. 1 - $69.99, November 3rd (ship), November 4th (release)
It's been a while since Konami charged 60 bucks for a PS2 game, wonder what it's going to have on it to merit such a price increase. Unless these are only the prices for the bundle. I should call another store...
