Sure we're getting a movie in 1 years time, but still no game. The game has been out for over a year in Japan, but still no announcement of a US release.

Okay there is currently a PEGI rating for Detective Pikachu for EU players. So you guys in the EU will be seeing the game in the upcoming months.

I personally searched the ESRB and came up empty handed smh.

New update to Pokemon Go. They're starting to add the Hoenn region Pokemon- I don't know if you can find Duskull and Shuppet right now. Also, weather is a thing, linked to your local weather. You can find Pokemon of certain types more easily, and those types will do more damage (+20%) during that weather. (Ex. It's sunny here, so I found a whole bunch of fire types, and fire, ground, and grass attacks are boosted) I actually think this weather is a cool thing, it'll help differentiate regions and climates and it's making it easier for me to find fire-types.

yeah you can find Duskulls and Shuppets at night. The addition of the weather thing makes sense as Gen 3 revolved around messing with the climate.

So Pokemon Gen 8 on the Nintendo Switch....thoughts, feelings, concerns etc. I heard that it might be using Unreal 4 engine. Looks like I'm going to have to try to get a Switch when I get my taxes done.

So sounds like the 8th Gen is going to be in the North Pole and Arctic Ocean and the surrounding areas of N.A, Russia and Greenland.

Funny thing is, one of the parts of the regions is kinda based off of a part of Russia.

I've heard that the game play for Gen 8 was going to be like Pokemon Go, but you can connect to Pokemon Go.

Let's Go Pikachu / Eevee is NOT Gen 8, for anyone that was worried / excited about that, per an official announcement made by Pokemon.

It's basically a remake of Yellow for the Switch that utilizes some of Pokemon GO's features, from the looks of it. I'm excited to try it out, even though I never played GO. But I did play a lot of Red/Blue/Yellow as a kid.

GameStop is now taking pre-orders. $59.99 for the total package.

With the recent reveal of Mega Evolution returning in Pokémon Let's Go, as well as the renewal of several Gen I Pokémon's trademarks, the theory that new Megas could be added makes total sense, especially when you consider the Pokémon in question.

The list is:
* Golem
* Machamp
* Raichu
* Jynx
* Starmie
* Hitmonlee
* Hitmonchan
* Arbok
* Weezing
* Persian
* Vaporeon
* Jolteon
* Flareon
* Dragonite
* Mr. Mime

These Pokémon are significant because they are the signature Pokémon, or the evolved form, of almost every Gym Leader, every Elite Four member (except Agatha because her signature Pokémon already has a Mega), Team Rocket, as well as the evolved forms of the game mascots. The only Pokémon that are not on this list that prevent my take on this theory from being accurate are Vileplume (the evolved form of Erika's ace), Venomoth (Koga's ace), and Arcanine (Blaine's ace).

The starters look "eh" in my opinion, but the region looks AWESOME.

I just hope the game has more to offer for veteran players than Gen 7 did. Maybe difficulty settings?

I was hoping Gamefreak would make another European based region and I got my wish. Already loving the look of this game so far.

Scorbunny doesn't look bad IMO but I'm not really feeling the other two. Then again I wasn't fond of Rowlet but ended up really liking Decidueye so who knows, maybe I'll end up liking these final evolutions a lot more.

This is a trend that I have seen happening for me and my friends quite often for the last ~3 gens. The unevolved starters always look a bit boring (more so than the unevolved starters from Gens 1-4/5) but the fully evolved ones are sick.

I just don't hope Scorbunny becomes yet another Fire/Fighting. Surely they would not do that...?
