For Vanillite/lish/luxe, beware, his defense blows very badly, however, he's very useful in mopping the floor with the 8th gym.

I've beaten the game and am doing the Sages quest now. I just caught the freaky Damirutan that "evolves"? into a statue? And I just caught Volcorona after my 2nd attempt (yay quick claw, surf). I still have my MasterBall, woot woot. I'm keeping one weak Pokemon in my team as I travel with Exp Share so I can start to fill out my Pokedex and have more options for a team. Also breeding to get unevolved forms and to maybe get new move sets.

currently playing white, and here's my party:
Ducklett lv 34 (just a lil bit more to evolve into Swanna) F, Hasty
Lilligant lv 30, F, Mild
Sigilyph lv 31, M, Gentle (yea i got 2 main flying battler here)
Emboar lv 38, M, Quirky
Vanillite lv 23, M, Mild (gotta give him nevermelt ice)
my vanillite's freshly caught on the cold storage, so his level is much lower than other pokemon in my party.
wondering what to catch for my main electric battler : boldore (will be traded with emolga)? tynamo? or joltik?

Tynamo. He's hard to level up at first, but once he reaches Eelektross, teach him Acrobatics (to go against grass which resist electric), Thunder Wave and Thunderbolt and whatever you want. He becomes a beast at full evolution.

I never knew that Endure works on all attacks directed at the pokemon in a double/triple battle.

Do you get exp out of Battle Subway or is it like Battle Tower where you don't get exp?

Im in Battle Subway now and I don't find it very hard at all. I just beat my first single battle 7 win streak. And no, you get no experience out of it. However, you can face the Elite Four a second time (watch out, they're stronger and have ~70-72 level pokemon) I'm going against them with Exp Share on a weaker pokemon to level them up. I'm dying a lot, but I'm pushing the weaker guys up and will keep going until I beat the Elite Four a 2nd time.

Thats the problem with these pokemon games they don't give enough exp. They somehow manage to set it up to where you can easily beat the Gym Leaders, but it's a whole diffrent ballgame with the Elites. I understand that they have to be tougher and stronger, but you would think that by the time you have defeated all the trainers and Gym Leaders that would be able to go up against the Elite without too much problems and at least stand a chance of success instead of constantly having your ass handed to you.

well finally i got emolga for electric. not so good, yeah. but well...
i only need it until i catch zekrom anyway. hee hee
but yeah, i'll catch tynamo on black (will reset my data on black because i want some good pokemon with good nature, too Big Grin)

yeah. this game disallows us to grind level, because exp given has some relation to your pokemon's relative level. (beat some random wild 'mon, it will give more exp to lower leveled pokemon) Well, IIRC. However I ground Samurott's level to 71 when I got to the end of the elite four. Don't ask the rest of my party. Except Reshiram.

I've learned to take Pokemon with dual types, teach them one move each that compliments their type (example: Seismitoad: Bulldoze and Surf) and then 1 offensive attack to go against something it's normally weak against and then one move that's defensive (confusion inducing, paralysis inducing, etc.).

As for level grinding, you can absolutely do level grinding. Right now my pokemon are all between level 60 and 43 and I'm using Exp Share and using Volcarona and Zekrom to take out as many pokemon of the elite four as I can while leveling up the weaker pokemon. Not to mention there are plenty of trainers in the game that you can fight once per day that are all pretty high leveled trainers. I can't believe people are having such trouble with the elite four.

Also, my Nintendo WFC never seems to work even when I have wi-fi, and my connection is WPA so I can't get Victini. I beat Cynthia, but I only found one of the sages, didn't go to the lost ruins, and didn't get the 3 legendary fighters.

Also, I tried the Battle Subway but I didn't know how many battles there were per team or how much BP you get for how many battles so I didn't do it.

All in all, this explains why I'm starting over.

About to fight Leanora
My new team:
Pignite lvl 22
Herdier lvl 16
Blitzle lvl 15
Patrat lvl 13
Pansage lvl 10 (does anyone have any good, efficent methods for leveling it up)

Stand-By:
Purrloin lvl 10 (does anyone have any good, efficent methods for leveling it up)

Will pick up:
Panpour
Pidove

You might know this, but if your lead Pokemon is level 100 and you have experience share in use, all the experience goes to the Pokemon with experience share.

I beat the game two nights ago. I admit that the story was pretty good. I just wish there were more focus to the plot. The whole idea of freeing pokemon seemed like a good story line.

I can't be bothered to list the team I used. I originally went in expecting to lose, picked a random dude to start with (that girl that sleeps in the bed) and wound up beating the game. I relied on three pokemon for the whole thing, with one exp. sharing, and one as pointless filler. :\
