It’s worth restating, 2022 is about to become the worst year of the decade and hell, January 2022 will go down as the worst of all time! Now it’s no longer just a sequel to 2020 but now it’s 2016 all over again!
can you please stop posting shit like this
we get it, things suck. constant doomposting isn't gonna make things any better.

it's not worth restating, you sound like a broken record to be honest
no one knows what holds in the future, you need to stop only doomposting on here, LIO is a place to Let It Out but it's not strictly a venting thread
if you can't do that then go on another break and find something to destress

Why are we doing this again, MrDanceCrazer? You not only sound distressed, but you are also spreading unneeded negativity. Perhaps you should seek professional help, because every single one of your last 10 posts was like this, and you won't tell us the kind of stuff that is putting you in this level of distress with any sort of level-headedness. We can only help you if you are honest with us.
Anyway, #10yearchallenge
2012... I did not exist on Zenius-I vanisher. I didn't know what it was.
2022... I am moderating the site. I also came out as transgender.
That is all. Carry on, you beautiful people.

I spent most of my day outside and had my (hopefully) last therapy session of my entire life ever. After more than 4 years! It definitely had a very positive effect on my life, and I can say I walk away as a way happier person than I was back then :)
Unfortunately the weather was real shite (it started raining heavily right after I took this picture) -

@forcednature
Well, congratulations on completing therapy! Glad to know it has worked out for you. Funny, I'm thinking about it all, and this year might involve me having my first ever professional therapy session...
No, no, I'm not mentally ill (at least, I hope not, and even if I am, there is no shame in that). I may or may not be contacted by the gender clinic sometime soon. I'm already doing well enough in life otherwise.

Mental health is important. Sometimes therapy is getting through trauma and sometimes it's just saying in a good place. I'm happy for you, forcednature, and I hope everything works out for you newbstepper.

I don't blame you. For the entirety of the 2010 decade, my first thought when I heard the words "therapy" was "they won't be able to help me, my problems are impossible to understand let alone treat".

I understand that there's reasons to be afraid/unwilling to go to therapy and some of them are legitimate (like actually having to find a therapist who is compatible with you -- not guaranteed that every one of them works with you, especially when it comes to more specific fields) but I honestly think that everyone who has severe problems should at least try therapy once - at the right time and the right place. My personal experience was that old me was actually very afraid of therapy (especially trauma therapy) but I was convinced by my surroundings to give it a chance, and I am thankful I did, as taking care of yourself is the right thing to do IMO. I hope everything goes well for you.

It took 3 different therapists who fucking sucked at their jobs before I found one who actually understood my issues and didn't just state things that were blatantly obvious. Regardless, I would still say that if you feel like you need it, then absolutely look into getting therapy. Just be prepared to potentially have to spend a bit of money before you finally find the one that clicks. That's probably a bit less of an issue if you're in a country with universal health care.

I don't want to sound like I'm downplaying therapy after what I said earlier, but sometimes you also just need an outlet. And DDR is a hell of an outlet. Music can be therapy for some people, and stomping on things can be therapy for some people. If you're in the middle part of the Venn Diagram playing DDR can do wonders for your emotions. My brother is going through some shit right now, relationship troubles and lost his job (I'm trying to help him get a job where I work though) and his whole demeanor changed after a couple hours of arrow stomping today. Still get help if you think you need it, but also try getting out to an arcade if you're able to (I know that going outside can be a challenge sometimes when you're not at your best) or set something up at home if you're able to. Also working out is a good outlet if you're somehow here but don't like playing DDR.

I'm gonna say saibot's approach is also perfectly valid and can speak from experience on it. DDR/ITG has consistently helped me to not self harm because it allows me to channel that energy I would have used to hurt myself somehow into something that's not harmful or destructive.

Yeah, agreed with n00b_saib0t on that for sure. COVID restrictions made that impossible for a few of us yet again, and I think that's also driving up this sort of craze.

My twitter account got permanently suspended for tweeting song lyrics. People are allowed to threaten to kill elected officials and threaten to rape women with no consequence but I'm not allowed to like music.

Seriously? Permanently suspended? What bots are running that place now, huh. I'm terribly sorry.

Yeah, I'm appealing it so hopefully that goes in my favor. Maybe I'll just have to delete the tweet. I mean, these were the lyrics:
Quote
I'll put a slug in your bald head
Scalp a skinhead quick
And your greasy-ass triple clan and shit
I'll zip you up in a bag
And I'll shit on a mother fuckin Rebel flag
The song is Your Rebel Flag by Insane Clown Posse. I guess skin heads and klan members would find it offensive but Twitter is claiming I threatened violence against a group of people when I clearly attributed the words as lyrics from them in the tweet.Scalp a skinhead quick
And your greasy-ass triple clan and shit
I'll zip you up in a bag
And I'll shit on a mother fuckin Rebel flag

ICP might be one of the worst music artists I've ever heard that I still like because they're just genuinely cool dudes
