Lately, I don't know why I feel morally obligated to buy games to "support" the developers. I've plopped down cash for Persona 4 Golden and Megaman X Legacy Collection 2 and I'm an unemployed bum who probably shouldn't be salami-slicing my savings (I could've gotten my main phone fixed or bought my own PS4 controller to play my steam games, but no, I blew it on coke and blow useless shit).

The games I "want" to buy are:
-Octopath Traveller
-Persona 5 Strikers
-Saga Frontier Remastered
-Spyro the Dragon Reignited Trilogy (on my wishlist)
-and probably more.

I frequently sailed the seas back in the day, but I seem to be losing my touch on that end.

I'd love to get Persona 5 Strikers, just because the main gameplay of regular Persona 5 drained all the life out of me. I legitimately gave it 30 hours of gameplay and just couldn't go on anymore.

Would love to give it a shot as well, hopefully it isn't as long as the regular games (I've had to re-start my P4G game because maybe maxing out social links is better than grinding out Personas to get all of their skills, because I somehow want to be perfectionist and have all personas to have all their learned skills). I've been diligently avoiding late game spoilers so, maybe in the future I can react to what happens on the spot.

*I am using the enhancement mod though, which shows me correct choices on social link interactions and unlocked the double Int stat bonus per study session thing. There's also Dojima's mug once I max him out, which is basically the massage thing in P5.

Haha that game can’t catch a break. This applies to much of the industry these days but what a screw up Square has been in. Big mistake on their part investing in western game development.

Wait what?! How do you not test for that kind of stuff before you release a patch? Oh dear lord.

Today's trend is to release the patch and get live feedback from the consumers at large, mostly due to the differing combinations of hardware that the devs can't account for. The days of having QA combing over changes like this seem to be gone now. I'm not covering for the devs, but I don't think I can spin this in a more pro-consumer way.

There is a certain amount of leeway developers get when it comes to a 50 person or less QA team not catching things before the game gets out to like 1 million people or more, games are absolutely still put through QA and things missed. It's always been this way, if you look around you wouldn't believe how broken some older games are. I've watched speed runs where you swear you hear the game code crying out for help while the runner is just destroying it, like if the speed run community wants to walk through a wall or skip a boss fight it's gonna fucking happen lol. But the Avengers nonsense is just negligence.

I never got around to posting this at its heyday, and stuff like the Cyberghost VPN app below and the QA next to the Youtube logo already gives me nostalgic feelings. God I miss Qatar! Even if there were just two (and then one) DDR machine, all the websites that the ISP blocked which was so annoying, booze being illegal unless you have connections and all the other struggles.

I got my second vaccine dose 18 hours ago. Aside from having to take one Tylenol for minor headaches, I'm surprised I don't feel like I've been hit by a truck or anything. The only problem for now is that my sleep schedule has been utterly ruined, which is evidenced by me writing here at this hour.

Happy 4th of July my American friends!

Gave it a few days before posting, but seeing a certain top level DDR player make their return on Twitter was a fucking heartbreaker, especially considering the general attempt at going back to just "business as usual, nothing bad happened". Glad to see a lot of community members denounce them, disappointed that some openly supported them, both as a victim of assault as a teenager and just as a human damn being.

It's only added to how absolutely sick I've felt lately to the point where I'm literally unfit to go to work, one week in. Stressed the fuck out. What a shitty couple of days. Fuck.
