Does anyone have any idea who created "MAX 340?" From what I can remember, this was originally uploaded to the official Stepmania website, but the simfiles they used to host are long gone. As far as I know, there isn't a single backup for all those files.

I found a backup of the site here that says it's uploaded by user named "TwistedWarlock" but IDK if he's the artist or not since people may submit their own chart for the song or it may be a really different song because people like to do MAX remixes with and without whitespace to distinct their creation.

"TwistedWarlock" sounds familiar. I have a couple files saved, both of them "MAXX 430" but each with different charts. It could be a coincidence that 340 and 430 use the same digits and were uploaded by the same guy. I'd hope that he was, or at least knew the creators of MAX 340 and 430, because both of them are really well done. I'd be interested in hearing any of their more recent music, considering both of those songs are well over a decade old by this point.

I just spent 4 hours looking at the Doubles charts for every Special Revival for my DDR NovaMAX project, and I think I came across the worst official stepchart I've ever seen.

It has a lot of the features of being a bad chart, but I wouldn't say it is as badly arranged as something like NGO or the dreaded Uh La La La. It looks like it tried to be Bag and failed.

This is honestly far more playable than so many charts out there. The part before the slowdown has some odd rhythms, but the placement of arrows looks... fine minus the way one of the jumps is placed?

One of the BEMANI Crossovers I will be using for DDR NovaMAX is "Initiation." However, I decided to take some creative liberties with it by fusing the game-size version with its long version. It took a few revisions to get it just right, but I'm proud of how it turned out.
