Let It Out

Well, I feel somewhat embarrassed for suddenly vanishing from the forum for a few months right in the middle of a contest, so I'd thought I'd fill anyone who's interested in. Now, I don't know how the zIv summer contest is going since I was completely offline for the past few weeks- Not to mention, there's been a project of mine I've wanted to post here for a while now. However, our family suddenly decided that we're gonna be moving to another town in a very short span of time. Now, it's a move I'm quite eager for, but it doesn't make it any easier- It comes with the very reasons that we're moving, which I am not allowed to go into detail in public. I can say that we're trying to move somewhere with a decent school system, and I'm feeling especially betrayed by multiple important adults I've trusted for years. That, along with a ton of family stuff going on around the country and us flying all over the place, have made this a really busy summer for the past few weeks and the next weeks to come. To be honest, I have a few other reasons for kinda vanishing, but they're not anything I feel safe talking about here.

What this unfortunately means is that this is probably going to be the last time I check this place for a while. A lot of real-life stuff has burned me out quite a bit, and I'm no longer excited to watch something that I know that I'll never actually be able to experience for myself. I do plan to put up the simfiles from my school project here for storage and distribution purposes, but that might not be for a while. There's a chance I might stop making them, since the place we're moving to is far smaller than our current house, and definitely does not have room for a dance pad. Not to mention, I've got to get busy on packing up/moving in, and then getting ready for my first year at college.

I may be moving to a big city, but I'm still gonna be a small-town rhythm gaming fan. I'll likely see you guys again soon.

That's very unfortunate to hear, rapidemboar. Yes you do have free time for summer. But sometimes having free time means your family has time to pack up, move to another state, and unpack apparently.

Also, now that I've been reading some threads, how did Arrows&Beats and AnonyWolf get banned? And why was Quick Man acting more of a douchebag for a time?

Arrows&Beats was banned for launching an attack on member SM MaxX by creating a thread that painted him as someone addicted to child pornography. He was banned by Oni-91 after he refused to explain his actions and furthermore launched a link that bans people that clicks it with the claim "if you have a problem with me, put it in the suggestion box!".

AnonyWolf/Sigrev2 was banned for shitposting in the DDR A thread because everyone was too busy over analyzing ENDYMION. It was a ban issued by al2k4 himself.

Quickman's just tired of some of the close mindedness the community (especially on the DDR A thread) seems to exhibit.

Interesting. Arrows was a good hand on the Cross Beats games. AnonyWolf, I don't know the relevant details but I can sort of imagine what happened and how he got banned. As for Quickman, I guess he was trying to get a rise out of the community, but was trying a little too hard, I guess? Kinda reminds me of someone who named himself (or herself?) after a shield, and supposedly lived in Eastern Europe. But he's mellowed now, so it's all good.

I am of the opinion if Naoki were to ever fight Konami for his song rights, he should focus first on the rights for "Baby Baby Gimme Your Love."

Last Saturday, I competed in a DDR Extreme Random Caprice tournament in Philadelphia, where I ended up taking third place! I was the #2 seed, and I eventually faced off against the #1 seed in the winners finals, and it was by far, the craziest match I've ever had. We ended up TYING our set, and our tiebreaker match was decided by only ONE POINT.

Warning: Lots of screaming. Watch out if you have headphones on.
