I had probably one of the most vivid and clear dreams relating to BEMANI that I’ve had in a while just last night...
The dream was about DANCE RUSH STARDOM, except it was nothing like it was in real life.
So, in this dream I was told that my local Round 1 arcade had Dance Rush Stardom in, so I decided to go.
The game’s cabinet looked pretty much the same as it does in reality but the gameplay was entirely different..
Instead of looking like the usual Dance Rush gameplay from what I’ve seen, it looked like a weird cross between Beatmania IIDX, Pop’n Music and BanG Dream, but for your feet. It also kinda felt like DDR doubles to play for some reason.
The songs were also completely different. You know the song “Apple Butter” from Pop’n Music? That song was in there, and it was the very first song on the song list for some reason. It was in a folder together with all the EDM and pop licenses, some other BEMANI songs that escape me, and...SMOKY THRILL from IdolMaster, except the game had it credited to TOMOSUKE. I think it may have just been a remix of it but by TOMOSUKE. I believe this was some “recommended for beginners” folder but all the songs were sorted alphabetically, which is why Apple Butter came up first. Due to this, lots of casuals played the song. I recall having to wait a long time until it was my turn to play.
When it was my turn to play, I found this other strange song in the game that had Retsu, Fuga, Hiumi and Rinka on its album cover despite having nothing whatsoever to do with Tsugidoka. I played the song. I recall it being hard and tiring but I cleared it. I was satisfied with the score I got.
I woke up in the middle of selecting my second song. I believe it was going to be Apple Butter.

I was actually on Yonge Street area a few hours after that happened. It really was yikes. This really ruined what would have been a perfectly beautiful day to stroll outside.
I'm thankful that so far, none of my friends appeared to be involved in this. But I know others in my city are very much hurt and my heart breaks for them.

The evidence was substantial to determine him as guilty. How could that possibly be seen as bad news? Like his works if you care to, but his criminal behavior had to be delivered to justice at some point.
