To any PSX emulator users out there...

Is there any way to play the 1st or 2nd DDR games on ePSXe? I know that from 3rdMIX onwards the emulators can read those games just fine, but not for the first two. I read before that the first two games have like a multi-track format in their game files and I've tried to compile them into one whole file (or .bin file) with the various software suggested. But ePSXe won't properly load the games and it ends up being unplayable because there's no music. Could anyone help me find a solution?

Welp, guess I'm done with DDR now. My arcade (Pocket Change in Lancaster, PA) is removing the only DDR machine we have, In the Groove 2. To say that I'm depressed is an understatement, because I've been struggling with depression for quite a while. I haven't been as active with things in my life and DDR is one of the few things I actually enjoy doing consistently. I don't get to go to places further away because of distance...and I don't have the connections to meet someone that does have one of these machines...

I can't even express how upset this makes me. I've had frustrations with game accessibility for quite some time and, while this has nothing to do with servers shutting down or games removed from digital stores, the end result is the exact same as DDR is just as well a "game as service."

I think it's inevitable that I need to change my life direction. Maybe go to an anime club in place of DDR time...I don't know. It may seem silly in the grand scheme of things to be this upset over a game, but really I can't help but see this as another life opportunity lost meanwhile people are heading to Round1 daily playing 5-10 games a day. In actuality, I feel like this drains me of my interest in giving back through employment. Why should I even care about making money off of graphic/game design if I don't have anything left to spike curiosity outside of the mundane?

At this point I'm rambling, but I'm posting this because I can't ignore my feelings anymore. I need to get out of this depression slump or I will just be a victim of my own emotions and contribute nothing to society. Nothing much else to say...other than I probably should just remove ITG2 off the arcade's database. Don't know what the hell the point of Pocket Change really is without something like DDR, but what do I know?

I felt kind of the same way when my only DDR machine in town was removed over five years ago. I wasn't depressed, but still felt sad that my only DDR AC cab was gone. I know it's not quite the same, but do you have CS games/Stepmania you could play? It's better than nothing. If you legit enjoy DDR, then don't give up on it. Continue to play DDR as a coping mechanism for your depression, even if it's just CS/Stepmania.
