"Retired?"
Well, I figure that you guys can stand -1- more Christmas present.

So after about a month of work, I finally have my little beauty to show the world.

And by little I mean GIGANTIC...

http://hiryuu.rustedlogic.net/DDR/cflash.png

Click the link to download. Heavy-11.

Those of you who know Virt, this song needs little introduction. Those who do not are in for a real treat.

All the work is done from scratch to culminate into a 20 minute file. There has been a LOT of work done to this file and I've had the influence of a lot of people and beta testers over the course of the past month leading up to what you see here.

There are background changes in this file. Nearly 100, actually. For those of you that aren't able to get a large amount of graphical changes, however, you aren't without a helping hand:

Download this: here

Copy this into the directory with Crystal Flash's .SM file, back up and delete the old file and rename it to 'CFLASH.SM'. That should be it.

I'd like to take a minute to thank a few people here. It's similar done in the credits file as well:

"I'm honestly pissed off."
So, I played it on keyboard, and I think it looks pretty good.
First, I dislike using displaybpm to hide the bpm, but that's just style, so disregard that.
I only noticed 3 spots where the 16ths turn you backwards and leave you there for the rest of the stream, which is better than I expected from someone I guessed to be a keyboard player.
I don't see why you put 16th taps into some of the streams, nothing in the music sounds like a 16th tap to me at those points. It seems more like you put them in so that the anchored foot would always be hitting 4ths/8ths, even when the anchored foot changes. The saving grace is that they're at 115 and 112 bpm, and not common, so they're not too obnoxious. Same goes for the stepjumps, which are mostly slow enough to not be painful.
I might try to pad this tomorrow, if I remember.
Last thing: Relics of the Chozo over at ocremix.org is a much better group of remixed Super Metroid music.

I'll write most of that off, especially the RotC quip...thinking that I've never heard of it. >_> Glad you liked it, barring your preferences.

I'd like you to point out the spots though that give the user a perpetual south (i.e. your 'face backwards' mention). This is necessary information for myself in future endeavors (out of next to 200 sims I've already made). That would've slipped through at least 6 people who tested it for that fact.

I'm a 'both' player, by the way. Have been for about five years.

EDIT: Found one on 134, entry note should've been left, not right.

145, issue in stream.

299's end, face left in stream.

Well, that'd be 3. Fuck.

344, face right.

403, that was dumb.

523's end...oops.

That's all of them that I found - 6 total.

I didn't list the measures I found them in because I just went to sleep after posting, and didn't take the time to examine the chart in real detail. Now though, measure 27, you end up doing the jump backwards if you don't double step the 16ths.
Measure 296, the taps turn you around. But it's just 8ths, so it's easy to double step and not spin.
I think that's all, I also noticed the ones you mentioned this time, so I think I saw all that are in there.

I'm still curious as to why you decided to use 16th taps in the streams in 66-70 and 484-492.

I figured you'd never heard of RotC, that's why I linked to the site, so that you can download it and listen to it. There's plenty of other good video game remix music on that site too.
