I didn't realize there's a bunch of simfile authors that post over here, so I thought I'd let you all know that there's going to be a simfile tournament in just under a month!

THE HIT SUMMER SIMFILE TOURNAMENT IS BACK.
We're looking for anyone and everyone who thinks they can make a good DDR simfile.
You've got 4 weeks to make a file, or to submit a previously unreleased file for this winner takes all, simfile showdown.
Back in the day, there used to exist large simfile tournaments.
Simfile tournaments where everyone in the community entered; even if they knew they didn't have a chance.
Everyone was there though.
Since then, simfile tournaments have come and gone. Some have been smaller, while others have tried to retain that large-tournament feel.
Enter BEST-mix #2.
After ironing out a few bumps from BEST-mix 1, the yearly summer simfile tournament is back with a vengeance to find out who is this year's best DDR simfile artist.
Rules are simple, and so will the tournament format. In memory of the old tournaments, this time there won't be any fancy arithmetic formulas used to calculate the scores. Let's bring back the old tournaments by making this the largest BEST-mix yet! The rest of the info will be released as the tournament gets closer to starting - and it's all found at www.BEST-mix.net

As long as you have new steps, a remix of a previous song is fine. You can even choose the same song, as long as the steps (and graphics, please) are new.

IF this has nothing to do with the simfile contest here, would I be able to use some of my simfiles that are in my simfile category... Oh and can I only put one entry in, or like, 3?

I'd think not. These entries are supposed to be anonymous, and anything that could be traced back to you would be...well, not.

Normal tourny rules are that you can submit something that you've uploaded before in exactly the same state (same GFX, same steps). However, you can re-do a previous file.
I'm in. Third time lucky for me, maybe? (In BM1, I made the first cut by about 1%, didn't make the second by a country mile, in BM2, didn't get past the first round, came 5th of 7 in the bracket. Le grrrr.)

Look in the folder, there's a Notepad file.
And out of all of them, Shu Shir Hwang? Nice choice.
