Commissioned by Serpent, my DDR2014 theme fork converted to vertical resolution.
Features:
- It's vertical.
- Single player only.
- Warning and caution images were redone for vertical resolution.
- All the screens were repositioned for vertical support.
Download: https://mega.nz/file/T4dgHAaD#CpXjfShixsYt4QGE-eWAipo2l4T0MZKeL_iI_JnwwoA
Source code: There's no github, but feel free to edit the theme as you wish.
Usage:
You must calculate your aspect ratio and write it to preferences.ini manually, since SM5.1 doesn't natively support portrait (maybe 5.3 can do it for you). Refer to this post for help: https://zenius-i-vanisher.com/v5.2/thread?threadid=11176#p448660
The theme has been tested on 5.1-new (Well, my fork, but close enough) but it probably works on 5.0.12 and 5.3. If you happen to find any bugs, please make a reply so I can fix them. Thanks.
Credits to inori, riskofsoundingnerdy, and pk for their work on the previous DDR2014 theme versions.

This is amazing, now out of REAL curiosity.. Why use vertical? Is it less demanding?

It's probably for arcade1up machines, the mini ones are vertical.Post #4 · Publicado en 2022-07-22 03:45:48am Hace 1.6 años
Love it. Great work. Definitely impressed at how quick you was able to knock this out.
To answer your question, AxelWasHere. ZTS is close, it is for an arcade1up, but not a true-mini; but for a partycade.
Same 17" monitor as the big ones.
The monitor of a partycade has less of angle and is mountable. I honestly didn't want a vertical one at first to mod, but they were the only ones available during the $119.00 sale they had a while back.
Even considered chopping it up, to get a traditional horizontal screen, but this might turn out better than I expected. Hey, they say a vertical screen increase the arrow scrolling space by 1.7x, meaning that a 17" monitor gains as much vertical play area as a 32.3" monitor.
Just waiting on decals, to make this a standalone DDR/Stepmania mod. You'll more than likely see finished pictures, floating around by the end of June.
Thanks once again, ZTS. Glad others are able to use it, opens the door for other vertical DDR themes/options.
Finished:
Seems if the video is shorter than 60 seconds - the embedded YT link doesn't work
