[SM 5.1-new / OutFox LTS and Alpha V] DDR A3 Theme

I'm having an issue with the theme, works 100% fine until I clear my 3rd song and get the "try extra stage" message, and then the game crashes. I would like to keep extra stage on and I can't figure out what's causing the problem.

Sadly, this theme doesn't support extra stage at the moment. We're working on it, but it's not a high priority.

Cool, wasn't sure if it was something I was doing or if it was the theme.

go into the A3 theme and open your metrics file
find AllowExtra2=true
change true to false and that should help with the crashes. it won't stop all but it'll minimize them. still a little sporatic but much better then before.

I turned them off earlier, I can play all day long and it runs just fine. It only crashes when it tries to load extra stage.

I'm actually wondering how I can change the delay between the Full Combo animation and the "CLEARED" screen showing up since on some songs like Poseidon(kors k mix), automne, and especially MAX.(period), the "CLEARED" screen shows up way too early, cutting out a good portion of the song's ending.

Do you guys have an update on when Outfox support will be available again?

Hi guys, sorry for not beeing here for a long time, my job is gettin' me too tired.

As SchneiderAFX answer before, it is an static image we hope the gold background could be uploaded soon.


I wanted to add C and M MODS in the theme but the option "BPM DISPLAY" has a little bug in it with C or M mods. I'll take a look how to converted the mods with "BPM DISPLAY" option.


Goddddddddd, this happen when you are playing with any other Sort (for example "Sort by LEVEL")? If it's yes, that's the problem lol. I saw that's an StepMania issue, even with default theme.
When I'm playing in Home Mode I have the ES and EES without any problem with "Sort by GROUP".


Go to BGAnimations/ScreenGameplay out/(GoldenLeague.lua or normal.lua)/local AnimationSleep. That variable has the delay of the doors when a song ends.


Not yet bud we've been busy with our jobs and we haven't found how to add the support to OutFox.

I have encountered several issues since using this theme, besides that this theme is good.
1. Some songs with early start notes were interrupted with "READY" screen effect and make these song's starting part unplayable
(Example : Phlox in DDR XX song pack)
2. Groove radar not showing correct data of CHALLENGE chart , this happens on large amount of latest charts, even on official songs
3. group.ini not working at all

1. not sure how to help with the "READY" screen effect as it usually starts at the first measure instead of waiting for a couple seconds. I believe that is AC accurate though, which is intended.

2. I believe the most updated ddr_groove_data doesn't yet include the last 10+ batch of songs released. those groove data stats usually come with each update the team puts out. other songs not included in A3 are not included as it is a massive undertaking to add the groove radar values individually.

3. When you say it doesn't work. what do you mean? I believe it's there to rename your series folder ingame.
group.ini is to rename your series folder (music folder) name to what curilang suggests (or whatever you prefer.) and matches the preferred sort name.
(EX: my series folder is called DanceDanceRevolution 6thMIX MAX but the group.ini renames it DDRMAX ingame.)

this is the extent of my knowledge on that, hopefully someone knows more about this.

1. Since I have used DDR A ,A20 ,A20+ and DDR XX themes and didn't encountered starting beat problems, there might be solutions but I have little knowledge of coding so it is hard to fix by myself.
2. Actually I have found some scripts that can automatically calculate groove radar values (like ones that used by DDR XX or other themes), I know there is a groove radar data in theme's folder, but I will prefer automatically generated values since my song packs contained large amount of unofficial songs that impossible to get exact groove radar values
3. Ok, I have double checked and found group.ini is working but not fully functional, only change song groups name, but doesn't change song name colors (like red for extras and yellow for unlocked songs) that I had inputted into group.ini and works well in previous themes I have used.

Does this theme support nonstop/challenge courses yet, or are there plans to add this in the future?

The theme works fantastic, although speed mods aren't working at all. I hold the start button to go into speed mods but it doesn't load at all and goes straight into the song. Can anyone help me with this issue?

Options menu is accessible with the / key.

THEME MAJOR UPDATE: 20220920

Update highlights:

- Added new BG animations for the menus that more resemble the originals (made by yours truly)
- Added animated BG for the music selection screen (it's not the official, but it'll do for now)
- removed the "00 - " from the DDR group sort so it displays only the pack name correctly (keep in mind, you still have to name it that way as a file)
- more under the hood changes and optimizations.

PS: this is the first time that i do animations on Vegas, so the BG animations aren't perfect, if anyone know how to do a better job that i did, please add me on discord (SchneiderAFX#0181) and I'll send you the base files.

Some stuff after the theme update,

i've been enjoying the theme but here are my few requests for the future. nothing major, just random tweaks.
golden league bezel
Can the extra exclusive songs be added to the league graphics list as well.
Deep tenDon Reflex and THE ANCIENT KING IS BACK use the chrome bezel graphics as well as the golden league songs.

grammer fix in Languages/en
Risky0=Standar dance gauge (missing the d)

referring to song "Help me, ERINNNNNN!!" in DDR A folder.
it doesn't play the video because of the symbols but razorblade commented a bit of code that you can add in the
bganimations/ScreenStageInformation decorations/default.lua.
in the simfile comments the code is there that i add myself each update but maybe it can be added in as a default piece of code or is this something we just add ourselves.

i dont know if it can actually be added in the theme itself but whenever you add a simfile, the song gets the "New" graphic added until it's played. Is there a way this can be only added to A3 songs (or newer songs) so older songs from previous mixes don't recieve this graphic.

I recently downloaded this one, but keep running into a problem where it never loads the game mode select screen. I've gotten it to load once and it wont do it anymore. It just gets stuck like this and I cant select anything except backing out it by hitting scroll lock. Any suggestions? I'm running Stepmania 5.1new

edit: it seems having a player profile is stopping this screen from loading for me. I deleted my profile and now it works fine, but i cant select characters. It seems like they should work though?

1.- We are trying to find one function to make the Ready message as similar as the AC with every song.
2.- just erase everything of "ddr_groove_data.lua" file and you'll have the SM values. DDR XX system of GR will appear in this theme, I need permission to use this system from MidflightDigital team.
3.- group.ini is working, only with names (not colors).

??? so weird, you can play without a profile with any problem, so idk what's happening. And characters would be selected in PlayerOptions.




ANNOUNCEMENT

Guys, I made some changes to the instructions

1.-ONLY PC SUPPORT, not supported to AC machines, this is for our security and for some codes from DDR XX team, I saw this theme in one public arcade in my country, so if I made AC support, god, my theme would be erased again (as a few months ago). And use the correct buttons, with this you won't have issues ingame.
2.- NEW STEPMANIA BUILD, this theme was made to SM 5.1new (This version doesn't have the same issues in 5.0.12, at least there are no crashes).
3.-OutFox is partially supported, when we find the solution we'll let y'all know.
4.- Let us know any opinion.
